It was great to here that Jillygirl's op went well
I'm back on my computer now, know doubt hubby will pinch it again tonight, so annoying cause my phone always plays up at night
I loved the sweet pea conversation last night, it brought back a lot of happy memories :), my gran used to grow them in her garden I can't grow any cause i don't have a garden
I love the picture as well Andi, despite the two strawberries plonked on the top
Yes it was like Gardeners World on here last night I am not sure what Sweet Peas are but they sound nice, I prefer marrowfat myself but I'll given anything a try once
It is good news about Jillygirl, she's on the home straight now.
Well I am taking my computer to see if I can get it repaired today, not sure how long they will need to keep it for but I hope I get it back soon.
It is sunny and very frosty here as well today, a beautiful Autumn day, my favourite kind.
So what exercise have you got planned for today Andi? A bit of ice skating maybe? Don't go hurting your ankle again.
I managed to sort my Christmas tree lights out last night, so the house is looking lovely now, all Christmassy and colourful.
Have a good day and I will speak to you later xxx
Tis the season to be jolly falalalalaaaaaaaa lalalalaaaaaaaaaa
I'm not sure if there are gremlins about on the site as my Jillygirl post was posted 3 times last night and so I had to delete the extra ones and then my daily chat this morning disappeared. By the time I got into work I noticed Andi's daily chat... but no sign of mine, so if it appears when it feels like some point throughout the day, please don't think I've lost the plot!!
It was so icy this morning, my windscreen was frozen from the inside too. I don't understand why my car has only got heated back windows!
Kazz, lovely little sing-a-long there, glad that you are in the Christmas spirit and are as happy and jolly as ever I hope you manage to get your computer sorted. We'd miss you over the weeks if you can't get on here
Sue, that's a great photie of Andi I'm sure Pete will be able to share some ideas with you for a little window garden for you
Andi, I've only gone and pulled another blinking muscle This is at the back of my right shoulder now. I was hoping to get out for a run this week. You've done fab, getting back into it. W3 as well! Little Miss energetic that you are
Really good to hear that Jillygirl is doing well. I shall keep you all up to date as and when I hear anything
Remember to stay positive no matter what part of your stop smoking journey you are on. We'll help get you to where you want to be
I can just imagine Andi Pandi doing that Sue, in her little skirt flying round the ice rink great pic.
I might try growing some sweet peas next year, they sound nice, not that I'm much of a gardener and just like you Sue I normal kill indoor plants. I forget they are plants and need watering and I just pick them up, dust underneath them and put them down again like I would with an ornament, then one day I notice they've withered up and gone brown. I never have plants in the house now. Maybe Peetie Weetie or Peewee as he likes to call himself can suggest something low maintenance for us Sue We are probably best suited to plastic ones, no watering just the odd flick over with the feather duster
I hope I get my computer back quickly as well, I finish work on 21st December and I would miss you all plus I think I will need some support to get over the Christmas period and I want to be here in case anyone else wants any support. Not sure what help I will be but I can at least sing them a carol or two
EmJay, I'm sorry to hear that you have pulled another muscle. I hope you are ok soon, this exercise malarky is just to dangerous if you ask me, all sorts of injuries going on
I love that description of the frost, Jack Frost covering everything with his icy dust.... conjures up such a lovely picture
Has anyone seen Chickles lately. I don't like it when people are quiet, they are usually up to some mischief or other
All together now..... Jingle bells, Santa smells the reindeer ran away lalalalala
Hiya folks. I was all set to get up and go for a run this morning then when I heard about traffic sliding about everywhere I decided to stay safe in bed for another hour. My front path is very slippery and still not thawed out yet so I don't want to tempt fate at the moment! I'm going out for a walk round the head after lunch as it's just too lovely out there at the mo. So Kazz, that's two days now with no exercise. Not sure if I said but went to go to the gym yesterday morning and there was a power cut so it was shut. It had also knocked out some mega traffic lights on a roundabout and by the hospital so it was brilliant as there were no traffic queues. Why don't they just save billions of pounds and not put any more traffic lights or road furniture in anywhere?
Sue, that pic reminds me of when I was about 13 and used to go ice skating every week. I've just heard from my sister and I'll be having to watch out for avalanches when I go next week if it doesn't stop snowing!
Emjay, another pulled muscle - maybe it's something to do with your posture - might be good to get it checked sooner rather than later. Perhaps you could take Kazz's elbow bone with you and get that sorted at the same time so we can kick her out the door in the New Year! (Ho, ho, ho, Merry Christmas!!! )
Hi Andi, good for you staying in bed, the best place to be in this weather, wish i could do that, i might just go to bed this afternoon instead hope you enjoy your walk, just be careful of the ice though, don't want you breaking an ankle this time
All that snow, just think of all the snowmen you can build, brill I do hope it stops for you though, don't want you turned into one :D, and no avalanches either
have a great day,
jingle bells, jingle bells, santa's on his way la la la la la la la
I wish you hadn't said that you might go to bed this afternoon instead, now I am thinking about being in bed all snuggled up under my duvet with a hot water bottle and good book and a large box of maltesers
Looks like we are all in the Christmas spirit, not too happy about your Ho, ho, ho. Merry Christmas Andi just after you said you can kick me out the door in the New Year. I don't think we should be exercising at this fun and festive time of the season, just remember good will to all men (and women) I don't think a bone in the elbow is something than can be sorted out very quickly, could take years Ho, ho, ho, Merry Christmas to you too you fliippin woman you
At least you did a nice version of Jingle bells Suzie Boozie, mine was a bit childish who cares it's Christmas!
It's still frosty here and hasn't lifted from this morning so it must be pretty cold out there brrrrr. That duvet and hot water bottle are sounding nicer by the minute oh yes not forgetting the maltesers.
Oh yes, I meant to say.... no exercise for 2 whole days !!! wow you must really be enjoying it Doesn't it feel good not to be doing any exercise Andi? It's restful and relaxing and there's no chance of an exercise related injury. You love it, you know you do, go on admit it
You're a girl after my own heart Sue I never have chocolate in the house, well I do but not for long, it comes in and I eat it there are never any reserves
A few years ago they used to sell buckets of maltesers but I've not seen them this year, that would be perfect, in bed with a bucket of maltesers
I've just been having a look on the internet and it doesn't look like they are making them any more. I reckon the Government have banned them to prevent obesity
I did have a look on Amazon and it came up with some boxes of maltesers and some plastic buckets, so looks like we will have to make our own Sue
You can get all sizes of buckets, the bigger the better I say.
The way round that Sue is to get them delivered, i.e. by Asda, Tesco etc or get your husband to carry them for you, unless this is going to be a secret because you don't want him to know just how greedy you are Well not that we are greedy, we are just enjoying the Christmas chocolate festivities but I don't think a lot of people would understand that and just think we are greedy.
Well I am going to say good night now. I will be going home in about half an hour and have a few things to do before I go.
Have a great evening, do try to behave yourselves I will catch up with you tomorrow.
My computer has been on a right go slow today and I've had big trouble with the printer. Fingers crossed that both Mr IT Guys who came to help me out have sorted it for me now
Sue, I did manage to put up my Christmas tree yesterday I'm starting to feel quite festive now Hey, it's 11 weeks since you were a full time smoker! How good does that feel then?
John, you also have another week under your belt now too. As you have started to already find out, the cravings will appear to be less and less now. Just make sure you keep your mouth spray handy for when you need it.
Andi, I was doing the ironing when I pulled my muscle so I guess it's my own silly fault, I'll not attempt the ironing again!
Try and stay as positive as you can everyone, regardless as to whether you are using NRT or not. Remembering that those nicotine receptors can take around 12 weeks before they begin to disappear. They just try and raise their ugly head every now and again to keep you on your toes! Stay in control
Hi Emjay, it's dippy sue here again cause i didn't know it was 11weeks
That's amazing, i feel proud of myself, that i've managed to do this, i never thought i'd succeed being part of the A team has helped me; without a doubt
Aww thanks for missing me Kazz and Sue, tis nice to be missed. I wish I had been up to no good, but alas have been busy working and socialising in a state of sobriety!
Brill news about Jilly!
Well done Sue on reaching 11 weeks! Awesome!
Tomorrow I am going to a Reiki share, so will deffo be putting Jilly in our healing book. There will be some brilliant energies at the share, particularly on 12/12/12, shame I have to work on 21/12/12, otherwise I would be attending The Monastry, near Manchester, doing some fabulous workshops and meditations. C'est la vie, it wasn't meant to be. I am a firm believer in fate and destiny.
I haven't had time to go for my chest x-ray yet, but to be fair, it's still feeling lots better! Thursday am working, then have parent 'afternoon', then am going to the German market, having tea out and doing some late night shopping. Still a few bits to get for my daughter.
Tonight tea is casserole, but it'll be a late one, cos my daughter's chemistry tutor is here from 6pm for an hour or so. It smells bloody gorgeous!
Hope your on the mend soon Emjay! Shall I put you in the healing book tomorrow too?
Hiya Chick, glad to see you're keeping busy as usual. It looks like you've got another client in the ironing department then in Emjay. We can't let it affect her running so maybe her OH will have to start doing it now.
Sue, I see you've been busy with Choc all afternoon - not sure if you achieved what you wanted with the Maltesers and buckets so I guess you both just gave up and ate then all. Never mind, you can try again tomorrow.
I went for my walk round the head. It was quite icy and slippy in places so I didn't want to chance having to slide down if I went up so stayed on the beach. The tide was out so I did a bit of running on the hard sand (only when there weren't too many people about ) I did feel a bit daft running with my handbag tucked under my arm dressed in my normal clothes.
I did have some of sort of the right sort of shoes on ( if that makes any kind of sense ). I certainly wasn't in bare feet on the sand - too bloody freezing for that nonsense! Brrrrrrrrrrr!!!
When I arrived back home at 4.30, my driveway and the pavement were all sparkly already with frost. I've got to go out again shortly - hope I don't slip up.
