Hi monky! Today is the 2nd anniversary of my stopping smoking! I haven't been on here in the last year, but I promised myself I'd celebrate this day and share it with my compadres at HealthUnlocked.
I suppose I'm lucky, in that nobody around me smokes, so I have no triggers or temptations in my path, and I've long since removed all the usual paraphernalia from my presence - you know, lighters, ashtrays etc. It does seem that the numbers of smokers are decreasing generally - anyone know the facts about that?
But anyway, I've been diligent and faithful to the NOPE motto and nary a puff in 2 years, so I will say, as irritatingly as ever, yay me! I love being a non-smoker! Wishing all you stalwarts encouraging us to quit and stay quit all the very best, as I do all our friends who are in the throes of quitting.
Thanks, jillygirl. Yes, I'm celebrating right here with you all - this is my celebration, and I couldn't have any better company! Enjoyed your Wednesday music v. much, esp. Georgy Girl. Something about those lyrics strikes a deep chord in me - perhaps to all who hear them? Time to shed those dowdy feathers and fly, a little bit!
