It's another beautiful frosty, sunny morning again - I say sunny but at 8.15 it's only just now starting to appear over the rooftops.
It's the first of Advent today and I noticed last night that some people have now started putting up their Christmas lights.
Whilst writing the date I realised that it's now 7 months since I quit smoking - didn't think I'd ever be saying that in my whole life so I say BIG THANK-YOU to all of you out there who have helped me along the rocky road. I do feel like an ex-smoker now but temptations will always be put in my way so I'd like to stay and try and help out on here wherever I can.
Whatever you're doing today and you've already quit - stay strong - and don't forget to come on here if you need some extra help.
Have a good day.

Good Morning Andi, a BIG WELL DONE on reaching 7months, that's amazing, you must be so proud of yourself, as we are I'm glad your staying on here, it wouldn't be the same without you
how are you feeling this morning, your up early after your night out, i'd still be comatose :D, hope you had a great time
I'm away to get my morning cuppa will be back in a bit xx
Morning Sue and thanks for that. Well I don't do exciting nights out any more (did I ever? ) It was dinner with some friends followed by card school. We have a bit of a laugh and play Newmarket for pennies and have done it occassionally for years.
A soooooooooooooper well done to you gal, that is just fantastic 7 months quit and yes i would say that you are now an EX SMOKER and as for us helping you along the way, I tell you Andi, you have helped me tremendously over the last few months
You are one hell of a lovely, thoughtful, helpful and kind Lady, and I for one would love you to stay on this site to help others to quit, erm and me eh
Hi John, sorry you're like that about Sundays but I know what you mean. I went out for a walk with some friends this morning. My big problem with them is that we agree to go out early. She then says 10.30, have to wait around for her til 11 then she has to do all sorts of other stuff whilst out so back home at 2 for a really late lunch and the day's just wasted for me as can't get motivated to start doing anything by then and I think that's another day that I haven't done this, that or the other!
Have you considered getting into some kind of fitness?
Aup John, dont you bother about being late on parade pal, cus its Sunday
Sunday is a day of rest, you take it easy you do what you feel like doing on a Sunday
John how have your Christmas cards come out, cus i tell you i wish i could make some pal
I know your on a downer today, but we all have it sometimes,
What you have to do is :- pick youself up, and I meannnnnnnnnnnnnnn pick yourself up, shake your flippin head, and snap out of it
Just think of your love birds, cus I know they love you John, as I know you love them too stay with us John, and like Andi says have you tried exercising cus I know it helps me
Ok you had a blip, I've had lots of them but what keeps me going is the '' LIGHT '' at the end of that tunnel, the long and hard tunnel I must admit, but being able to beat, no erm ''master'' that cigarette and to tell it ''NO'' i dont need you any more, is the most loveliest thought
Hi Sue, didn't recognise you with your new identity! Is this your Christmans special? I love Pete's and don't think he should ever change it - ok he could put a silly red hat on for Christmas if he really wants to.
I thought i'd try and get cheery for xmas so put a christmacy theme photo on while i still had the computer, at least i'll get it back tomorrow, hubby's back at work then

Love the pic I might just try making one of them
There would be loads of grip in the snow eh orrrrr I could use wellies then I could go out in flodds eh or even ride it into the sea thats with you on the back of corse

Sorry Andi, I missed this one
Yes I am going to work tomorrow, 6 am tooo 6pm but my eye isnt rite yet, so I will have to make an early appointment at the docs one morning ifffffff i can
You call that nice - 12 hour shifts, 60 hours a week - Sounds a bit Victorian to me, especially when you have to stay on for hours sometimes, isn't it illegal?
monkyAdministratorCake sniffer outer• in reply toandi22
hey Andi, whether it is or isnt, its a job ok
Erm until i can find another one, then i'm stuck with it
Right, as you said, am getting tired now so going to sign off and let you get to bed. Hope that last image brightens your day tomorrow when you're getting a bit fed up.
I'll say nite nite Pete and everyone else, sleep well and sweet dreams. Big hug, xx

John you cannot protect yoursef from sadness without protecting yourself from happiness. I feel your really down today and I,m sorry, Andi,s idea of getting out and meeting other people is a good idea, it might help you. Try and stay away from smoking as you slipped up last week when you were having a hard time.
