Hi done, so you've now got your Champix and you're raring to go again. I suggest you look up the tags for champix to glean any extra bit of info you can gain. The other thing to keep you on track is to come on the chat each day so we can try to help you through your tough times and share your triumphs.

Good luck again, Andi :)

Aup Done :)

I've took champix, in the first 2-3 days I got heartburn but that soon went :) I felt sick a couple of times, but that was because I hadnt had anything to eat, so all I did was eat a couple of biccys and they did the trick :)

The only real side effect I got was it made me sleep :) ha ha I used to have a job getting up in the mornings :D

They didnt effect my driving in the least, as I have to drive to work, which is about 40 miles away, and have to drive on the M1, they didnt make me feel dizzy at all :)

As Andi said, good luck and please keep us informed on how you are getting on with them, so hope to see you soon, Pete :)

Hiya

I have just finished my course of Champix and to be honest I cannot recommend them enough! Certainly did the trick for me (12 weeks now)

Sure i felt sick a couple of times and the sleep pattern went awry for a few days, but on the whole it was not too arduous and it passed fairly quickly on the scale of things. Don't recall feeling dizzy wi them

Good luck :0)

Hi - I was a 40 a day smoker for 37 years and started the champix and completed the 12 week course. Please believe me they do work - yes they do have side effects mine was being extremely tired and my friends was feeling a little sick. I can't begin to tell you how I did'nt even want to quit smoking just thaught id give it a go. I have now been totally fag free since 27th March - No-one including me can believe it. Just give them a try and see if they work for you, don't put yourself under any pressure to quit just let the tablets tell you. Cant wait to see how you get on. With the best of look. Marion
