Today was another ordinary day (6 weeks and 5 days and still counting). Up early for golf and off I went. Got to the course and realised I hadn't changed my patch (level 2). Thought I can handle it now, big enough etc. Played rubbish, bit my mates head off over a comment and really wanted a cigar. Finished golf, got home (fast) and changed the patch. Craving still hung on so now back to the Jalapenos for a day, it will hurt tomorrow. Still off them but today was hard.
Rant over.
Needed this page to vent my feelings, thanks.

Well, done you,
A rant will do you good!
Maybe keep a spare Patch with you - just in case?
This Stopping business takes longer than we think... or, so I'm told.
A massive well done to ya for getting through and a very good idea of Gills to keep a spare patch somewhere I used to get up in the morning, go into the bathroom for a wash, and stick my patch on then, so it became the norm, if you see what I mean eh Speak soon Jim and if you ever want a rant again, you know where to come, cos we all have a rant on here at some point It dose help
jimigolf, some days are harder than others so well done for today. I still have bad days when I think of fags all the time. Almost 4 months no smoking for me. I am pretty sure I will never buy fags again. Smoked for 45 years but finally saw sense. Better late than never I guess.
You must have stopped 2 days before me - and I have just had a couple of bad days. Must be a glitch period - besides the fact you forgot to change ur patch. I'm so glad you didn't give in and I'm sure your mate will forgive you - specially if he is a non smoker. Well done you - and I think it is great being able to rant on here - it helps to download. It isn't easy because it is the mental addiction as well as the physical one. Keep at it and enjoy your golf along with your spare patch!!
Many thanks for all the support, I have gone back to the stronger patch for a couple of days just to get back on track. The rant really helped and my golfer friend has been off the smokes for 10 years so when I do mention it I'm sure he'll understand. Many thanks again.
