As administrators we communicate with other communities and try and watch out for these possible trouble makers. More often than not we restrict them and ban them from the site.

However some are persistent and keep showing up. If you get anyone private messaging you , for no reason at all except to say hi. Please do not reply to them.

Do they think we females are stupid or something? I have the same safety thoughts online as I would being hit on in a pub (although a good many years since that happened). Good to be reminded that it may not be my natural writing charm that would make someone want to go to the private messaging. Do you really want a minute by minute dissection of the last 2 days of the last Test? I married in my 30's, thought I had a hubby who like sport like I did, I had taken him to the old Twickenham to watch Fiji play England and he was only a little embarrassed by the fact I cheered for Fiji. had also taken him to cricket matches, no complaints, however after marriage, he would be in the sitting room with Emerdale Farm and Strictly, while I was in the kitchen with sport, Since he died in 2013, I have been able to sit in my sitting room for sport, oh well I just wish I could still get out, and be off to the Oval later this summer.
