Hope you all manage to get out and about on your days off and get some of that lovely fresh air into your lungs - help to push out all the nasties that have built up over the years.
Have a good smoke free day.

Hi Jilly, well after a naff day of doing nothing yesterday I was out the door by 7 this morning and did my run. Really pleased with myself as I managed 30 minutes without stopping for the first time. Let's hope I can build on this as I think it's the key to my losing weight.
I thought I'd come out of lurk mode to hold my head up proudly and say today I have been a non smoker for 1 year.
I am very proud of myself, I honestly didn't think I could manage it and now I know there's no way in hell I will ever smoke again. I am so glad I stuck to it even though there are times when I was in hysterics because I wanted to smoke so badly. 40 a day to nothing.
I know I don't need help anymore because it's not something that I desire or need anymore. I've swapped it for fitness, working out daily and feeling healthy
Keep at it, keep saying no no no and be proud of yourselves every single day. We've earned that right!!
Morning all. It's. Bit cloudy here and not too warm, but the odd patch of blue is promising
That' great getting out bright and early for the run andi, 30 mins nonstop is amazing, my knees won't hold out for running, but I have decided to fight my way to the back of the shed and get my old bike out, see what's what, and if it is still OK. Yes indeed, I fancy whistling down the lanes on that with my improved puff and nuch easier breathing :). If it helps woith weight, even better
Hope the rain fizzles out and the sun breaks through jillygirl, have a good ride out
Keep warm, Sue, cold here too and just thinking I'll need a scarf fro the bikeride - and nearly .ay! Wheyhey!! Sunshine thriugh the window!! Best get out quick!
Just time for a quick coffee first, if anyone wants to join me?
Have a good smokeless day all, enjoy the weekend x
Lenne, Congratulations! That is so encouraging, you did it, maybe I can too. And it's good to hear how much easier it gets.
Are you planning a celebration? You certainly deserve one, uncork the bottle!!
Morning good folks. Cor... Another one with a year of not smoking - I like reading that. So well done - that's real commitment. Having a break from Builder's and early starts today - heaven! Happy weekend to us all. x
Congratulations Lenne on reaching a year, way to go
I'm away to my daughters now, she's not got long to go now, 2 weeks and my grandson will be born I hope you all have a great day, see ya when i get back
Hi John, its only natural to feel like you do. There must have been a lot of love between you and Linda. So that means there still is love between you both. Linda may not be with you physically, but I am sure is with you in spirit. Have a good cry, Get out some photos and remember the good times you have shared together.
Well done on not thinking of smoking. Linda must be so proud of you. xxx
Hi John....when you love someone that will forever live in your heart and have therefore not left you. This was what I was told when my dear Mother died. It's been 21 years but I know she is still with me especially in my heart.
Got back from my cycle ride in a storm of hailstones! And now the sun's out again :).
So changeable! So hopefully the sun is out for you again now
Got a bit of a craving when back from the bike ride, think it's because I always used to rewrd myself witha cig, so had a slice of toast, couple of plums, but still needed the inhalator to get rid of it completely. I guess that's OK. Just pleased always not to give in.
So here's to the rest of a good smoke-free weekend
The weather improved for a little while and then......we gave Barney his first bath. Oh what fun. He was sooooo very good. I think he's used to it. He does look funny wet actually so do I and the other half!!!
Sad that I missed the party last night ...I would have been happy to have been Wilma.
And I missed the party too :(. We'll have to throw another one sometime, say, celebrate our 6 weeks :). Will have to check when that is, but don't want to scare myself by looking at the calendar just yet Still taking a day at a time, that'll do
Heyhey! Thanks for the lovely comments, I really appreciate I celebrated with my family- we went bowling it was good fun. There's something to be said for enjoying hours in the bowling alley, or cinema, or a restaurant and not having to worry about going outside for a smoke. It's something to smile about. I truly believe YOU CAN ALL DO THIS! I believe in you, believe in yourselves because you know you deserve to be free from the chains of this expensive (and stinky) addiction xxx
John, it's a hard road to walk without Linda. I know this - my life's love 11+ gone. Everyone told me "it will get easier", not really true I've found. It's just different. And the "missing" never stops. But, like it or not. we manage to find a life worth living. It's very precious. I think people are just on loan to us for a while. That's why its so important to treasure them. Take heart - you have good people here, to help you through. And Yes, Your Linda would be very proud of your not smoking. Stay safe and well. Gill, x
Hi Pete, after a beautiful early morning, the same thing's going on down here. I just looked out of the window and realised the clouds were going the wrong way - I think you're sending it down here.
