I have a vaginal prolapse with cistocele and rectocle. I also suffer from pelvic adhesions which cause me a lot of pain. I have in addition a pelvic injury through childbirth 40 years ago. My appointment at a fracture clinic lead to the suggestion that I had the pelvic bone fused. My gyneacologist says a pessary will not work for the vaginal prolapse because I had a full hysterectomy which also took the cervix away and the damage to my pelvis and suggested excercise and HRT treatment. I am 70 and my husband is anxious about what activities I do and prefers me to sit down most of the time. I also had a hernia repair in my right groin which gives a lot of pain. I know I can't wave a magic wand and make things better but would really like some positive advice if anyone can do so.

Pelvic floor exercise (under instruction) and topical hrt can help immensely but it takes time, I found Pilates the best for pelvic floor but must be done with an instructor experienced with prolapse problems, the hrt will help to strengthen things up and also helps with any bladder issues.
