Anyone else?

Does anyone else find that whilst carrying out exercise it helps makes you feel better in of mental state and getting the muscles working, but it also triggers pains to hit intensely?

I feel as if I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place. I exercise to help with weight loss, weight management and keep my mental state positive. But then often I'm left on the floor holding back tears so my children don't become upset.

Hello

What kind of exercises are you doing?

Low impact walking and pilates. Things I can do at home in between raising my little ones 🤣

OK, fit it in when you can then 😅

Pilates shouldn’t cause that much pain, do you have an instructor advising how the movements are done correctly? sounds like you are maybe pushing yourself to much.

By instructor it's the coach that does the session via the app I use. I'm only capable of doing it twice a week. I think I may have to talk to my consultant for Chronic Pelvic Pain management. Still trialling different things to help cope with pain & maybe find a cause.

Sadly with pelvic pain there’s sometimes no obvious cause and we just have to learn coping methods. I hope you do find a reason and something can be done.

Yeah, they have told me the same. I'm still in the midst of trialling different ways to cope. It's taken a LOOOONNNGG time to even be diagnosed with chronic pelvic pain. Maybe once my referral for physio has gone through it may help cope with exercises better.

it’s hard and completely understand. I was into running , biking and swimming. I loved sports and now due to chronic pelvic pain I can only walk and swim but with little ones around the house it’s hard to keep up an exercise routine. Exercise makes you feel good. You feel good in your clothes , you can release a lot of tension and it’s great for mental health. I’ve tried so many times to get back into it but then regret it and feel 100 times worse for months. Now I’ve learned to just live with it. Having kids around is exercise , you should be able to hit 5 to 10 thousand steps 3-4 times a week….there are other ways to control your weight. I’m not a diet expert but you can fast, replace meal with healthy shakes ( Heul ) so you can stay on top of it….its a hard and nobody understands….the majority of people on here are suffering in silence everyday praying to just have one day without any pain….i hope you find the right routine soon

In terms of diet, I have weight management involved and they have said I'm ticking all the boxes for healthy diet. I'm always under my calories. I've cut out sweets and fizzy drinks. I barely drink tea any more.

But you're right it's hard, and not everything will work or work the same for others. My boys keep me active since I'm constantly running around after them 🤣 Its just a little extra for me to help with my mental state as well as add to the other factors.

Thank you for reaching out and commenting. I hope your days aren't so pain filled xXx

Look into the keto diet for weight loss. It also helps with pain relief. I would recommend Dr Ken Berry on you tube x

Due to my pendual neuralgia my main exercise is yoga and walking..I do a dvd called “Reliving Pelvic Pain..Your Pace Yoga” by Dustine Miller and the walking workout by Leslie Sansone ..15 minutes walk..over the years I have found this is the best for me…most workouts aggravate my condition..I hope this helps you
