Getting Better!!

Still have some out burst but feeling more confident, still have issues with being around my family and co-workers who light up, it's different now that I'm on the outside looking in at them, I'm hoping that this will help them stop or slow down, but I really see know difference, other than me not lighting up,still one day at a time..

Good to read you are plodding along nicely Cigpeace - yeah these outbursts and feeling of missing out will gradually disappear - continue to take it one day at a time, you are doing so well :)

PS Can you confirm your stop date for accurate milestone badges - have you at 40 days smoke free today going by your initial post with us, stop date 10 October 2018?

Keep at it! These feelings will pass.

When you see your family\co-workers smoking don't feel as though you are missing out or as if you are being denied something. You are not. What you are actually seeing is people feeding their addiction. They are smoking because they have to, not because they want to. Just as we all once did, they smoke because if they don't they start to go into withdrawal. Remember, you are in the process of breaking free.

My husband still smokes so I know how hard it can be. He will probably smoke until he dies or it kills him, whichever comes first. I used to envy him. I used to feel like I was missing out; it was unfair that he could smoke and I could not. I think of this differently now, as will you given time.

Keep going. A day at a time. 😊

I’ll be honest i miss the social smoking with my friends and family. They all congratulate me for not smoking. I think all smokers wish they didn’t have to smoke. I always said it’s hard not to smoke after eating because we didn’t know what it’s like to taste food in our mouths. Like something missing. The only thing missing now is my dessert 😊
