So.. day 51 !! Im a bit bummed. I thought id be passed thinking about cigs. I dont have any physical cravings.. but sometimes, at the end of a long tiring day, i sure could roll one up to have with my cuppa tea 🤪 oh well. Not happening!!! 15km planned this evening.
So i guess a few more months unti the psychological desire also dissipates..if it ever does.. 😆
Good luck and iron will to us all xx

The physical addiction is gone after about 3 days, but the psychological wants are far worse. But rest assured they do dissipate, maybe not 100%, but gradually they lessen and lessen. Everyone's timing is different, but you are on your way.
Sof...The physical craving disappears as time passes....The habit of rolling one will stay with you for a very long time....I reached for my cigarettes in my top pocket a few days ago....!
And we have the world cup football upon us too! ‘Beer, beer everywhere , and not a puff to smoke’ william wordsworth
Well, not quite his words but im sure he wouldnt mind 🤣😆

How you feeling now Sof79 - hope you are enjoying the world cup? With Ireland not in it, rooting for Portugal (with the world greatest footballer in my opinion Ronaldo) and Senegal
Congratulations on day 51, I totally understand what you mean, I’m day 38 and still taking big long deep breaths! The psychological side is my battle. It causes me lots of physical symptoms too! Stay strong 👏💪🙌
The habit still catches me all the time too. Flew to a wedding in Chicago over the weekend and during the reception, my husband (still a smoker) kept running outside to smoke. I always used to join him & it felt strange watching him go out by himself. I stayed inside and danced. I am also vaping, but left it back at our hotel room and was ok not having it. On the plus side, this was the first time I flew without that panic of not being able to smoke. I would always be obsessed thinking about getting that first cig after landing but this time that anchor was gone. It was a wonderful feeling.
Hey Sof79 - as advised above, these feelings of wanting a cigarette will be around for a while especially for situations and circumstances of every day life that you haven't come across smoke free, but the good news is, the next time it will be so much easier, I promise, you are doing great, keep it up
Hi there, I’m almost a year quit and I still get strong feelings of wanting a cigarette. The frequency of the feelings is significantly less now and so that is a thing to look forward to.
