Welcome to our community Biffy1973 and congratulations on 9 days smoke free, well done!👏🚭

I stopped cold turkey so don't have experience with the inhaler or gum but we have had a few members that did use them. The common thing from them using especially the inhaler is they found that they became very addicted to it and couldn't stop using even years after stopping smoking so just be weary about how much you are using it.

The feelings you are experiencing are perfectly normal and are nicotine withdrawals, keep busy, loads and loads of water, lots of fruit and vegetables and bit of exercise every day 🍏🍊🍌🍋🍅🥕💧🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️

Continue to read up here. We look forward to reading your progress 💻📄

Hello Biffy,

I'm not going through it at the minute (quit over two years ago) but I can relate to what you're going through. I was a miserable so and so in the early days.

Good advice there from Roisin, on both counts. I used an e-cig so it was similar to the inhalator in that it was easy to get carried away and over-use it. A bloke at work who quit at around the same time as me never had his e-cig out of his mouth. he was BUZZING with the amout of nicotine he was taking in! He eventually had to stop using it as he couldn't sleep.

It gets easier and all of those things Roisin mentioned help you to get through, especially keeping busy.

Hello.

I think that quitting can, at times, be a pretty hard going and miserable experience. You are not alone in this at all. Just keep going because this will pass. Keep in mind, you won't feel this way forever.

Hi and welcome biffy,

Congratulations on day 9!! Sorry it's been rough, we all get the grumps when we quit I think, no matter the methods so hang in there, it will pass with time.

Rant and rave on here whenever you feel the need, as often as you like! they are a great bunch of people always very understanding and supportive.
