Glad to get to another milestone - could do with something to make me feel more cheerful though. Hope everyone has had a good weekend
3 weeks: Glad to get to another milestone... - No Smoking Day
3 weeks
Ah well done Fordy 21 days is a huge milestone but not a very cheerful one as you are in between overcoming the physical battle and now beginning the mental battle, but embrace it and be ready to attack at all times...
You WILL have alot of good days but out of the blue some bad days that will shake you a bit but you will be ready to overcome them and every time you do it will be easier and you'll get one step closer to freedom in your quit.....you can do this, I promise, you just need to hang in there, it will be worth it.....
3 weeks under your belt now, how good is that! I had a good weekend in the lovely Spanish sun, getting used to socialising without those smelly cigs. Hope you begin to feel more cheery soon
How's it going today Fordy? Could do with cheering up myself; first day back at work after a weeklong holiday. Ugh.
Anyway, hope you're feeling proud of yourself - you should do, three weeks is great!
I feel your pain Nozmo, I was like that last Monday after 4 short weeks....longest week ever! Once you get today over you it will be grand...
It's over...kids picked up from school and fed. Time to sit in the back garden. Actually, this situation is still sometimes hard for me. I used to love sitting outside on a sunny day and having a tab. That's not an option these days but it still pops into my head.
Yeah, thats what I think happened me with those niggling cravings when we got the good weather last month, just have to adjust if we ever see sun here for more than a day, hasn't stopped raining the whole day and freezing too! Enjoy sitting out...
Grey dull Monday afternoon in London Nozmo. This afternoon has been dragging to be honest. Have just spent the last 30 mins looking back at posts I had made and replies I got when I was last on this site over a year ago. Nice to see that a number of people who quit about the same time as me last time made it to the "penthouse" - i.e. over a year quit. That is a big inspiration. I know what it is like going back to work after a smoke free holiday - you have my sympathy. You, Roisin and the others are a great inspiration to me though so keep going!
You too Fordy are a great inspiration to us all here, more than you perhaps realize especially after surviving a holiday just 1 week into your quit. I promise that penthouse day will come for us all...
Love Tyneside. Have done the Great North Run a couple of times - rare indeed though for the weather there to be better than down South - enjoy!
