tonight since my quit started, for a family birthday celebration and I am really looking forward to it. I am not worried about being surrounded by smokers as they will have to go outside to smoke and can't stand the smell of smokers now so don't think the temptation will arise.
Feeling good but think I am sleeping too well, almost slept for 12 hours last night and could have went back up to bed after breakfast but got stuck into my weekend chores and ok now. Anyone else experience tiredness at this stage of their quit, thought I would start feeling the new found boost of more energy? It may be that I am flat out at work & getting so much more work done since I quit?

Hi rowens, Apparently it's pretty common to sleep more, makes sense I suppose with nicotine being a stimulant. I haven't noticed any change to my sleeping pattern but I sleep like a log in most circumstances anyway.
Watch out for the "alcohol effect" tonight! It makes us do some daft things but you have obviously thought about that and seem to be prepared for it. Keep it up!

Think I should be ok with the drinking and resisting not smoking, will give update tomorrow on how it goes.....
Rowens...enjoy your night out as a non smoker. You will be amazed at how many times your smoking friends and family will congratulate you for not smoking ... Stay strong !!
Stay strong Rowens. I returned to work last Friday (I quit smoking after breaking my heel) and I was able to talk to my smoker colleagues without capitulating to the urge.
