Today, well starting last night has been one of *those* days - am swapping from feeling positive and good about my quit to craving like hell.
Have been using my pretend fag a lot (and look a berk I know) but it is helping. what didn't help was forgetting my patch again until mid morning so maybe that's got something to do with it?
It's annoying - have grasped that I didn't enjoy smoking, and really don't want to go baco to spending all that money on fags but the craves are getting on my wick.
Am feeling bloated too which isn't helping.
Have worked it out in my head like this:
It's a choice. Right at this moment the easiest option would be to nip over the road and buy fags and start smoking again.*BUT* if I took that, in years to come I'd be making the choice of whether I want chemo or not - and as an ex-heavy smoker that would be pretty likely, which is far harder than dragging myself through this.
So I'll resign myself to "smoking" my made up ciggie and feeling a bit poo for a while to avoid that.
Maybe the curse of 3 weeks is coming early?

I forgot to put my patch on yesterday, got up late for work so rushing aound.
I must say I craved more yesterday morning than I have all my quit::mad:
Im sure it will pass as soon as the nicotine kicks in.
Anyway Mina has given me a head ache with her stats
so im off to the pub coming
Hiya
Ooh it feels really dodgy doesn't it?
Glad you got through though - Kat nagged me into putting spare patches and gum in my bag, car and desk so luckily last time I did it, I could nip to the loo and stick one on!!
Hey Gemma stick with your made up ciggie it'll get u through . Dont worry about how berky u look. I use an inhalator , it looks like a tampon but it gets me through.
When we get to the Penthouse we will definitely go to the pub,
Now that's a great incentive
Oooh it's a fab one
Gems, I'm finding it proper hard today as well but we can do this, even if we have to drag our selves through it, we will see tomorrow as a non smoker hey
Aww that's a shame Cupster!!
We'll both drag ourselves through though and still be sweet smelling nonsmokers tomorrow!!

Am on the up again now it's just one of those annoying things for the early days I guess.
Oooh and I'm looking forward to the party already xxx
You guys are showing all the qualities needed to achieve this
Day 21 Gemma flippin eck 3 weeks already!!!!!!!!!!!!:D
Yes there are craves, yes there will be grim days where you feel there is just grey ahead and you are tempted to chuck in the towel but you will already have had glimpses and maybe even hours at a time of how good being a non smoker can be hold onto those images cos they get more frequent, richer and deeper
I'm amazed how fast it's gone
Was feeling really bad before, Nic was convincing me of all kinds but luckily it didn't work and I haven't smoked
I will do this and it will be good in the end without the stinky fags - which I didn't even enjoy any more!!
About to embark on your fourth week sweetpea, how fantastic is that?!
So proud of you hon, particularly with the atrocious weather we've been having, I know how that plays into your anxiety, it's been AWFUL, but you've stuck with it regardless, clung on tenaciously to your quit despite a very stressful couple of weeks so WELL DONE!!!:D:D
Time to crack on hon, closing in on that first month now!
It's fab, and I'm feeling a lot better now!!
Aww thanks, the weather is a big anxiety trigger - and I've been using my liquid stuff a lot to try to knock it out which has helped would have been easy to smoke but that wouldn't make the weather better, it would just mean I need to go out in it.
