Day 2 and feeling okay

Hi all I am new here

I somehow got through day1, some really bad cravings but now on with day 2.

Getting a bit of a cough. Is that normal?

Feel okay so far, champix has really helped with the needing to smoke. I just keep thinking how good it will be not to be stinking of smoke anymore. One thing I noticed this morning my hair still smelt fresh from the day before :)

    Well done for getting through the first and already feeling the benefits... nice smelling hair, breath, clothes are all just the beginning.

    I think the cough is fairly normal. As smokers we stored up lots of rubbish in our lungs and now you have stopped they want to clear out the junk. They are starting to repair themselves already... even if it doesn't feel that way.

    I started jogging to work before I quit and it is quite astonishing how quickly it gets easier to run harder and breathe easier once you stop polluting your precious lungs.

    As Clo said your lungs are already starting to clear all the muck from smoking which is a good sign :D Just focus on all the positive things you have already noticed since you stopped when you get a crave ;)

    day to and a cougj already that#s fast but normal and your lungs having a spring clean so nothing to worry about at all

    Welcome to the forum and well done on the decision to quit possibly one of the most important you will ever make and you will be losing nothing but you will regain control of your life and that has to be good

    Read the posts on here you will find a lot of tips and advice and in the signatures of a lot you will find links to other sites just click on them Here are 2 I find very good to start you off and Read, read and then read some more as the more you read and learn about why you smoked and about your addiction the easier your quit will be

    Day 2 for me too.

    Feeling ok my husbands on day 2 as well so keeping each other going.

    We're using the patches and chewing, chewing gum like mad but we're determined this is it, just got to keep getting over the usual trigger points and reminding myself that they do pass.
