Wow iv made it through a whole 24 hours. i put it off for too long its never nearly as bad as you think it will be, a bit like a cigarette really never as good as you think it will be. Iv said no to 30 cigs and added 2.5 hours to my life , my pockets are full of change, feel happier today thani havedone in ages, i went into a major depression after a failed quit,it wasnt the cause just the trigger. I Feel that im letting go of someone i used to be. im bored with being depressed and bored with being a smoker, thats not who i am. i want life. i want to breathe. i want freedom. slept great last night and i have no more carbon monoxide in me. thanks to those who supported me on day one, it means a lot. i now have real hope.

Thanks mrs T and well done for quitting are u one of them who thought they never could? I am and am amazed to break out of that mindset.I really want to get the determination to STAY stopped.

More than thought I never could - I KNEW I never could! Thought I had proved it to myself several times before. I was honestly the most hopeless case when it came to smoking. I would even continue to smoke when I had bronchitis and it hurt just to breathe.....
I owe it all to Mr Pfizer and his miracle Champix, because I'm still pretty sure I couldn't have got this far any other way.
You're right Mash, cigarettes are never as good as you think they are going to be. It's never ENOUGH. Put one out and you could have another. They really do not fill the empty space....its just an illusion.
Its never the cigarette that we crave .we just dont want the withdrawal from the last one. Well thats what Joel says and he seems to be wise, now its 3 days since my last cigarette and the withdrawals aint that bad if you just experience them instead of avoiding by smoking. the world hasnt ended, im not climbing the walls,iv experienced worse things,
Having to smoke is worse.a lot worse..have i really just said all that?
