Coming off antidepressants

I have been on mirtazapine now for 5 weeks 15mg daily ,can i just stop taking this drug,my doctor prescribed me sertraline 50 mg one daily ,only been on this for 9 days can i just stop taking this.he told me to stop taking the mirtazapine after 1week of overlapping

Just move across to the other medication, nine days is a very short period, not enough time to get any benefit . If you had pressured you GP to change your medication so soon that could be unfortunate, you need to allow about five weeks for a medication to work.

It is problematic to move on to other drugs so quickly, you may be missing a medication that could be the right one for you and your problem

Cheers ,if i just stop all medication what reaction with my body would i get

If you have only been on a drug for nine days no affect. Especially if you are changing over to another medication of the same type, If you had been on the medication for several months, there may be side affects as you switch over. If you stop taking medications like above over a long extended period your GP may assist you weening of them. That can take longer.

Thanks bob.hopefully not too many issues then.i will give it a try and hopefully everyhing will be ok.thanks for your kind words.im new to this site and just hoping that people like you can assist me
