I'm writing in relation to 3 procedures I had done 8 days ago. I had penile plication surgey, a circumcision as well as a cystoscopy. I seem to be healing ok, although still feeling somewhat painful and uncomfortable.
I have been told my recovery would be 6 weeks, however only being a week into that, it's doing my head in not being able to go to the gym.
I find when I try and do things outside of home, eg; groceries or attending appointments - I try not to make it noticeable by walking as normal as I can (even whilst experiencing great pain) I then pay for it once I've returned home.
Being fitness and health focussed, I really am worried about falling behind in results I've achieved through regular gym and work out routines.
Other sites online are quite vague and not really helpful regarding advice and or first hand experience. Is there anybody that may be able to share how soon after they returned to the gym, or even sit ups and light weights at home for that matter?
Thanks for taking the time to read my conundrum.

Well if it’s any use I’m well into my 6th week post op and I’m still somewhat sensitive down there and still get gasp moments esp while walking up stairs. Have a look through the posts on here. Someone has said that they are months in and still sensitive.
cheers for the reply. I've been specifically taken the stairs at my apartment rather than the lift. I figured it would make me somewhat more resilient and desensitise some.
Yikes, I really don't want to have to wait that long, although I don't want to prolong my recovery either.
Sorry to hear you're still having gasp moments, I feel your pain.Do you find erections are still painful? I have experienced painful erections during the night, yet oddly enough, they aren't proper erections. Is that something you have experienced?
I'm 12 days in and already have done a 5 and 4 mile walks. Find the head sensitive to start with but calms down after a mile or so. Going out for a hike tomorrow so will be tested again.
Hello Paul. When did you start with your walk? I'm on day 7 and was thinking of taking a trip to the store back and forth which is a total of 2 miles, do you think I'd be okay?
Day 9 I walked 5 miles with no real issue. It's down to how you feel yourself and how well everything is healing regarding the womb. I've went for the tight y fronts approach.
I've been walking, I find it uncomfortable without pain meds and even with them, it just masks it, tricking my body to think I can do more than I actually probably should. I find once I've returned home after walking too much, I pay for it.
I'm SO looking forward to my recovery being over soon as I'm sure you are too!
Maybe try wearing tight undies and comfy shoes on your walks.
Done over a 25 mile hike today on day 13 with no issues. Some vaseline and doubled up on gauze. Felt the head for about the first 5 miles, no real discomfort or pain just knew it was there. After that all I could feel was my legs. No reactions or any changes after. Everything looking good.
