It began about three years ago, and as I write it's approaching midnight after a full day of periodic episodes from the time I woke up before getting dressed this morning. This has always been the case; and until I have another night's sleep it's likely to occur again. However, it first began when I was travelling in the back of my eldest daughter's car.
Here's what happens -
I become very dizzy at first, almost to the point of passing out, but never have yet. This is followed by a sensation of increasingly deep heat which flows down my body to the groin where it stops and almost burns, so intense is the heat. Briefly it makes me want to urinate, but then the sensation turns into nausea. I have only once been compelled to actually vomit. At all other times I have learnt to 'swallow it back' until the need to be sick subsides. With the sensation of heat still present, this then flows to my cheeks as if I'm blushing. At first I asked my wife if I was really blushing but she said "No."
Of course, I visited my GP. But she had never come across anything like this - and referred me to a specialist. After giving me a very thorough head-to-toe examination. she too was nonplussed. I am now under her care - and yet to be given any positive help to address this frightening affliction of mine.
If I ever do actually pass out, what would be the consequences? Has anyone else suffered this or heard of another with the same symptoms, male or female?
