Hope your all keeping as well as possible. Just had to show you Newt who is a week old smallest lamb to be born in Wales. He's only 15cm tall and wears his owners sock to keep warm .
He is fed by a syringe he's so tiny. He wasnt expected to live but survived the first 24 hrs and is going from strength to strength.
I think you'll agree he's our smallest cutie pic!. Keep warm and safe everyone.
Love mistyX
P.s. i found out this week my foot injection has been delayed to 25/4. Then 6 weeks afterwards i can have my leg nerve ones so will be transformed if it all goes ahead. Xx

Sorry to hear of your delay. That lamb is adorable, thanks for sharing x
Thank you so much svfarmer for your good wishes. So pleased you liked newt. He's so tiny only a sock will fit!!. Can't imagine it can we?. How is your knee?. Are you taking up the 10 day challenge for World Lupus Day?. Hope your still having lovely Bea and Mira walks.
Ive reduced the steroids to 4.5mg and coping but getting adrenal symptoms again. Its tough on top of the pain as its extra but ill get thru. I don't like wishing these lovely months away to get to treatment though.
Your a strong lady Misty coping with all the pain from your foot and adrenal symptoms π I didnβt know there was a 10 day challenge for world lupus day- I will look this up - my knee is a lot better this week Thankyou so much for asking - have a good weekend - no snow I hope, we had tiny bit on Thursday but gosh itβs been cold xxx
Thanx so much svfarmer for your support and encouragement. I really do appreciate it. Luckily no snow here either but just very cold. Keep π₯and safe. XxπΆπ
Newt is just adorable π₯° Love his sock jumper. That is one proud mama sheep too. The smile on her face π₯°
Iβm sorry that your injection has been delayed. Hopefully the time will pass quickly for you.
I still havenβt heard anything about my rheumatology appointment. Should have been there in February. My GP spoke to the department and was just told βWe have a backlog.β Could be waiting a long time yet Xx π€ π
Oh ge im so sorry at your long wait still for a rheumy appt. That is awful when we're so in need. Im very grateful ive got these dates to hang onto and have to hope they'll go ahead. π€
So pleased you liked newt and i hope your all keeping safe as your cases are so high like ours. Take care. Xx
Thanx striated for your lovely message. Its awful wanting these lovely months to go to get treatment!. I'm not doing anything for the lupus challenge, are you?. Hope HCQ is helping you well now. Keep safe.Xx
Been on half dose and rash has stayed away. Back on full dose HCQ next weekπ€
For Lupus challenge - may just list birds I see and hear each day, 1st - 10th May.
Trying to catch early chorus (and hear a few that I have not seen for a while). Think there is a wren singing sometimes. I'm using the RSPB site to learn calls:
Using the webpage I finding I can superimpose the songs on top of one another and make my own bird choir...ππ€ΈββοΈ I think the actual order in the morning is:
Act 1 - Dunnocks and robins an hour before sunrise
Act 2 - Blackbirds, Thrushes rising to get earth worms in moist soil and, in the country where I'm not, skylark start singing.
Act 3 - Chiff chaff, chaffinch, wood pigeon and collar dove - wake a bit later
Act 4 - Blue tits, long tailed tits, tree sparrow and goldcrest (don't think they like the cold, so stay huddled up until sun in the sky)
I'm hearing a lot of 'Toy it tee, toy it tee, toy it tee'
'Teacher, teacher, teacher (door squeaking as opened and closed)'
Thats lovely striated to hear and appreciate all the birds singing. We wouldnt have been interested pre-covid. We've been listening to a wood pecker and tawny owl. So very special!!. Could they join your orchestra perhaps?.
Good luck for trying full dose hcq next week. Hope its ok for you. Keeping π€ and sending πto you. Hope you and your mum stay safe. Xx
I just got a message saying I've been blocked from posting and to contact the administrator. Now I can post okay though and am not getting the message.
Guess it might have been an upload of the system or something, so it might be a blip.
Just beautiful. I helped raise a β Mollyβ lamb and could never eat lamb again. Such a little sweetheart that followed me everywhere. This little one obviously has a fighting spirit. Xxx
No RUSH TO REPLY Spotty, just rest and relax this weekend. So glad you saw little Newt. He certainly does have a fantastic fighting spirit and deserves to live. I wonder if the farm will keep him as he's so special. I think they do with bottlefed ones. Xx
Oh yes, Newt is gorgeous and a very special wee soul and I hope and pray his fighting spirit will pull him through. ππ» Yes, farmers and crofters Iβve known who have bottle fed lambs (usually orphaned) do tend to keep them as βpetsβ especially if they have children who have helped in rearing them. I hope the same will apply to wee Newt.π€ Thanks Misty Iβll have a nice relaxing weekend and hope you manage the same. π€πxxxx
What a lovely picture misty π₯°. That little lamb was very well cared for to survive, its amazing what you can do with a thick woolly sock !!!Sorry you are delayed yet again, so frustrating for you, π€π»π€π»π€π»π€π»π€π»it happens this time.
I got over a uti a couple of weeks ago and now have a chest infection, taking LFT every day all negative thank goodness. Feeling rough but hopefully over the worst . I hope youβre keeping well otherwise and your family have avoided covid.
Thank you weathervane for your lovely mesdage. Sorry you've had a chest infection but recovering now. Thank goodness it wasnt covid. You've done so well to miss it!.
We're covid free still thankfully but more scared about going out as our cases have been so high.
I was going to see my schoolfriends tomorrow but cancelled and hope to see them when we can sit outside. One friend had covid recently and i didnt want to risk it.
Ive managed to reduce the steroids to 4.5mg and feel better than i did but have got adrenal symptoms. Hopefully my Endo might do the test when im on 4mg!!.
Its hard having pain and feeling lousy but ill get thru, just hope the treatment dates arent changed again. π€.
I love seeing the blossom coming out and the pretty bulbs.
Keep recovering weathervane and take care. Xxππππ€ππππ€ππππ€
You are quite right to be careful, this new variant is meant to be very infectious. Sorry you are in so much pain , it does wear you down. Hopefully warmer weather will arrive and can meet friends outside and catch up with everyone.
Take care and keep cheerful, glad you are enjoying the blossoms, the cherry trees are particularly beautiful at the moment
"P.s. i found out this week my foot injection has been delayed to 25/4. Then 6 weeks afterwards i can have my leg nerve ones so will be transformed if it all goes ahead. Xx"
Misty,
Could you please explain that you meant by foot injection and leg nerve ones, or direct me to where I can find this in your previous posts? I skimmed those I could find, but did not find anything about this. I ask because I am having much pain in my right ankle area and my right foot and leg, and despite informing my pp, my foot doctor and my rheumatologist, I have had no guidance on it.
Thank you lowrain for your reply. Im very sorry your having pain in your foot/ankle and leg. Not easy to live with. There can be lots of reasons for pain in these areas and im surprised your dr's arent being more helpful. Ive got a neuroma on the ball of my foot. A complcation from a foot op. It also gives me nerve symptoms like numbness and tingling as well as a lot of pain. A steroid injection helps calm it down.
My leg is nerve damage from an angiogram complication and gives me similar symptoms as the foot. They're on opposite sides. Is yours on the same side?. I have radiofrequency treatment for it which is so effective thru the pain clinic.
You might have hip problem which should be xrayed and if you run your hand on outside of your thigh and can find the painful spot it could be bursitis.
What a precious baby! I really can't understand why they constantly delay things when they know you are in pain. So frustrating and unacceptable. How are you coping with this? Do you have any way to minimize the pain at all? You are in my thoughts.
Thanx pumpkin for your lovely message. I was unlucky my Pain Consultant getting covid pushed out her appts. Ive got stronger painkillers if needed and π€end of april happens!.How is your foot?. I hope its healing well now.
What a sweet little lamb Helen π gosh it must be so tiny if itβs wearing the farmers sock to keep toasty warm.π₯° You do find the cutest picturesπ.
Iβm so sorry your injection has been pushed back, I hope the time goes quickly so your appointment will soon be here.π€π€π€
Take care lovely and weβll catch up soon.
Hope youβre keeping warm, itβs been so cold these last couple of days, a bit different to the weekend!
