Hello everyoneJust thought you might like to see this little cutie. He's a fairy penguin at Weymouth Sealife Centre and he's posing with his toy friend who keeps him company.

I love penguins as they're such characters. Hope you all do too and your all as well and pain free as possible.

Take care and keep warm.

MistyX

P.s. Progress at last, i've got an appointment with the pre- op assessment clinic on 18/1. They're getting nearer now. 😀

Still hoping i hear from mr foot surgeon as in a lot of pain but relieved to have something to hang onto. Thanx for all your wonderful support. Xx

So glad you liked the penguin cecily. I love them too. Thank you for your lovely wishes, its progress getting me nearer but i could still have quite a wait afterwards as still not seen surgeon. The pre-ops last 6 months i think. How about you lovely?. Have you got a date yet for those injections?. Really hope you have. 🤞

Hope you enjoyed the Dancing. It looks like Annabell's time is up sadly being in the dance off!. Tricky one as might be a shock or Bobby. Not long to see. Can't believe its ending soon!.

TAKE CARE lovely. Xx🐧💕🐧💕💃🤞💃

Hi Misty, sadly I have had to postpone the pain consultant appointment. I have been having problems with my sinuses for five months. The chemist kept saying there was nothing I could have except Albas oill and steam ? It just didn’t work and for the past two months I have had a permanent neon discharge and blood from my left nostril. I went to the GP and she referred me urgently to ENT. I have a nasal mass which the Consultant believes is “ the tip of the iceberg”. She believes that it has spread. It appears to be arterial tissue which means endoscopic removal will be unlikely. I have a CT scan on Thursday to see what we are dealing with and see the Consultant on 11 th January to get the results. I asked did she think it was cancer but she said even if it is benign there is no easy option. I am trying not to worry as I know it will not help.

I have absolutely loved Strictly this year, such talent and a much needed distraction. I really want Ellie and Vito to win. He has to be my favourite professional by far, although I love Jo Jo. I think if it is down to talent Annabelle should leave tonight but who knows.

Look after yourself and I really hope that you are seen by the surgeon quickly. Getting one less painful part of the body makes a huge difference doesn’t it? Xxx

Oh cecily, i'm so very sorry that you've had to postpone the pain clinic and have this awful nasal mass to now worry about. There's always something else to have to deal with and this sounds like a horror whichever way it goes!. Good luck on thursday for your ct scan, hope it gives easier news. Oh yes, i totally agree with you re Strictly final. I'd love Ellie or Bobby to win because they couldn't dance a step and look at them now!!. Thats the strictly magic that we all love, not someone who's had a head start!. Its been terrific and as you rightly say the standard has been so high again. I did cry at Annabelle going, its an emotional show too. Totally unique and i don't want it to be spoilt!.

I will keep my 🤞for you cecily on thursday and enjoy the FINAL. Xx🐧💕🐧🤞💕🐧💕🤞🐧💕🐧🙏🐧💕🐧

So glad you got your scan ok cecily. Its so hard waiting and wondering about important results. 🤞they're not as bad as feared and overshadow your christmas too much!. What a Strictly Final!!. The right couple won which i'm thrilled about too. Cher still has it too doesnt she?. Hope you enjoyed it as much as i did. Hope you have a better week. Xx💃💕

CecilyParsley profile image
CecilyParsley in reply tomisty14

Thank you Misty. I would be lying if I said I was not worried about the outcome, if it has spread to my eye socket or my brain but I am trying not to dwell on it. Nothing I can do will affect the outcome

What an amazing final. Best one ever in my opinion. I cried all through it. So emotional but my favourite won so I was cheering. Just what everyone needs a bit of glamour, fun and hope when the world is a very sad and desperate place for so many xxx

misty14 profile image
misty14 in reply toCecilyParsley

I couldn't agree more cecily about the Final . Ellie and Vito were shocked that they won!!. It was the best one yet and aren't we going to miss it?. I cried so much, its so emotional and inspiring . Such a unique show!. I'm still thinking about it today!. It is hard waiting for such crucial results. I couldn't stop thinking about my gallbladder op.

Keeping 🤞you get better news soon. 🤞 TAKE CARE, Xx💃💕💃🤞💕💃💕

Hi misty , Ive never heard of a Fairy Penguin, its adorable 🥰.

Im so pleased for you that you have finally got an appointment for pre op assessment, thats a lucky day as its my husband’s birthday!!!!

I hope the foot man also gets in touch, sore feet are awful 😣.

Just watching strictly results show, it will be a fabulous final , i love them all but Ellie is just the best ❤️

I have next rituximab on 22nd , it always knocks me out for a few days so it will be all hands on deck doing the Christmas prep 😂

Take care xxxx❤️🥰🎄🎅

misty14 profile image
misty14 in reply toweathervane

Thank you weathervane for your lovely mesdage. Its really made me 🙂 today. No, i hadn't heard of a fairy penguin either. I just love their fun characters. There's a lovely program on BBC 2 at the mo called Secrets of the Acquarium. A look behind the scenes of The Nationsl Marine Acquarium in Plymouth. Its really uplifting and great seeing different sea creatures. You might like to watch out for it!.

That's wonderful that your husband's birthday might bring me luck next month!. I do hope he's continued improving.

I wondered if you were getting retuximab, is that your 1st or 2nd infusion?. You've waited a long time!. Really tough so close to christmas but great you've got many helpers you can call on. Mum and I do the meal together now. Its become our little tradition!.

I'm having my leg injections next mon which is 18th. At least one lot of pain will go. I'm still keeping 🤞for a foot cancellation to see the surgeon. There's quite a lot of sickness so i might be lucky. Everytime the phone rings i'm so jumpy!.

I loved the Semi-final but was so sad at Annabelle leaving!!. We're in for a treat in the Final again this year. Definitely i'm Ellie too as she couldn't dance a step and look at her now, so confident!. That's the Strictly magic for me. She's come the furthest but i wouldnt mind if Bobby won for same reasons. He's a great lad.

I hope you have a good week and enjoy the Final. I'm sad it will be over, its gone so fast😪. Xx🐧💕🐧🤞🐧💕🐧🤞💕🐧💕🤞💕

weathervane in reply tomisty14

You are going to be busy with injections and pre op appointments, I hope it all goes well with 100% success 🥰.

Im getting the first ritx so second will be 2 weeks after. Bad timing but wont complain.

I meet 2 uni friends for lunch today, it was lovely, with lots of chat and laughs. It’s great to meet up with the girls as im in a house of man 🤣.

I thought Annabelle might go , i was in tears though at Johannes , he is so sweet. Next week will be brilliant, I can’t wait though might not see it until Sunday as i have to visit family . I love Bobby hes a lovely lad but Ellie should definitely win 🤞🏻🤞🏻.

Take care xxxx🎅🎄🎁💃🕺🐧❤️

Thank you weathervane for your lovely message. Yes, a busy time with appt's for us both. I've just added the Dexa scan today for mid jan. Sorry your infusion is the 1st one so close to Xmas but i bet your grateful like me to get it at all before xmas!!. We have to think like that.So glad you saw your Uni friends and had a great laugh and chat. How often do you meet?. Ive missed seeing my schoolfriends but luckily have booked a chat on phone with my nurse friend whose broken her leg on tuesday.

We're seeing our cat group friends for a mince pie and coffee next week and then the lady who lost her husband whose part of this group is coming to ours for Boxing Day tea which will be lovely for us all.

Have had a really stressful week as suddenly had supply problems with hcq which i need badly. (Always is a crucial drug). Ive sorted it now after many calls/emails between me and the Manufacturer and Boots!!. I'm exhausted but so very relieved. You had a problem last year i think. It always happens at Xmas.

Really looking forward to the Strictly Final. I was in tears too at Jj. He's so special. I totally agree and may vote for Ellie and Vito or Bobby and Dianne. They've come the furthest in their Strictly Journey's as couldn't dance a step.

Do hope your treatment too goes to plan and you have a restful christmas as possible. Good luck for part 2 infusion. I'm grateful to be getting one lot of pain sorted on monday. No cancellations for foot surgeon yet. Hope for New Year. I've stayed well.

Take care and keep safe too. Enjoy the dancing. Xx💃💕💃🤞💃💕💃🤞💃

Thanks for your lovely reply 🥰

This is such a busy time of the year , even worse when hospital appointments in the mix. I did have a lovely lunch with my friends , i see one friend most weeks and the other friend every couple of weeks, we have known each other for 40 year😳.

Sorry you are having trouble with prescriptions it is so stressful, particularly if its a drug you can’t do without!!

I can't wait for strictly tomorrow anyone could win it will be very exciting, I might have to watch it Sunday morning so hopefully avoid any spoilers 🤞🏻.

Take care and have a lovely relaxing Christmas with your family, good luck with all the appointments 😘 🎄🎅❤️xxx

He is just the cutest misty! 🥰 Penguins are such characters.

Glad to hear that you have some positive news. The time will pass before you know it. Hopefully won’t be too long until you see the foot surgeon.

I’ve not been too good the past couple of weeks. Got shingles, for the fourth time, then a week later got a chest infection 😮‍💨 Fingers crossed all clears up for Christmas.

Take care and keep warm in this bitter cold. Had our first snow here last week. Xx 🐧 🥶 ❄️

misty14 profile image
misty14 in reply toGloomyEeyore

Oh ge i'm so sorry you've had a rough few weeks. Glad the little penguin helped cheer you up. I think they're adorable too. Shingles for the fourth time!!. Where have you got the lesions?. I've still got some on my chest and back and it will be 6 months at Xmas i've had them from my 1st bout. They're fading fast now but i do still feel them slightly. I wouldnt want it again so i'm horrified this is your 4th time. I'm asking my Rheumy about the jab as i'm over 50. Its a shame your too young i think?.

I hope your chest infection is improving too and i'll keep my 🤞it doesnt spoil your christmas. I hope you have a happy time ge. TAKE CARE. Xx🐧💕🐧🤞💕🐧💕🤞

GloomyEeyore profile image
GloomyEeyore in reply tomisty14

Thank you misty. I have the lesions on the left side of my forehead, running down past my eye. It’s not the optic nerve that is affected so it won’t affect my eye. I am too young for the jab as I’m 46.

My chest infection isn’t so bad although I’m still coughing. Have one antibiotic left for tomorrow. If still like this in a few days I’ll contact the surgery again for advice.

Hope you have a happy and as healthy as possible Christmas. Xx 🐧 🎄 🎅🏼 🎁

misty14 profile image
misty14 in reply toGloomyEeyore

Thats awful ge, do be careful with your eye. We're very close in age as i'm 51!!. Did you get the antivirals in time.?. I do hope your not coughing for christmas. Will keep my 🤞for you. Good idea to seek advice as your finishing the antibiotics. TAKE CARE and thank you for your good wishes and support. Xx🤞🐧💕🐧🤞🐧💕🤞

Hello dear pumpkin, thank you for your lovely message especially as you've been busy organising more tests. Hope you've managed to get some done before christmas!. Its not an appt with the surgeon in mid jan. Its the pre-op clinic they do before operations to test fitness. Still progress at last but no cancellation yet for foot surgeon appointment. Still hoping i get something soon.🤞 I'm in such a lot of pain with foot and upper abdo.

Good luck for results dear pumpkin and take care. Sending lots of healing hugs. Xx

Thanx knitsewpurl for your lovely mesdage. I hope you and yours can have a similar christmas to what you describe. The appt ive got is the pre- op clinic for fitness before an operation. I'm still in such a lot of foot and upper abdo pain and will be for christmas sadly.

I will treat myself but can't really eat naughty things ,they give me too much pain and its not worth it.

I will have a nice rest ready for the New Year and hopefully appt's with the surgeons.

Have a happy time yourself and glad you liked the penguin. Xx🐧💕🐧

Put it mildly - been dozing this afternoon as am so shattered trying to prep for Christmas. Now this!! 🤷Will see if he pulls through fast . He was pretty rough yesterday and this morning. He is clearing the spare bed so he doesn't have to pass me the COVID bug... Think that is a little late now ... I didn't tell him that😂 . My COVID test was neg . Phew!, will test again in a few days Time

Do hope knitsewpurl that your tests stay neg. I can really agree how the extras of organising christmas are so tough on us lupies because of our fatigue with the illness. Good on you for snatching extra sleep while you can. I'm exhausted too and finding it hard with this PAIN. Sorry hubby is so poorly on his second round of covid. Its a horrible illness. Have you had it?. I haven't as it scares me and i'm on immuno-suppressives. Are you too.

Do hope you escape. All the very best. Xx🤞🍀💐💕🤞

I do hope the 'furry nurses' are not leaving your side and are being very 'helpful'. They must have missed you a lot.

I'm sorry ive taken longer to reply but i've been unwell this week after my leg injections. They've given me good relief luckily, it's my gallbladder i'm having to nurse a lot. I'm improving too and Being careful what i eat and relieved i've got an appt with the gastro surgeon end of Jan if it goes ahead!!. ?
