Hello everyoneJust had to show you this gorgeous threesome in their woolly jumpers!. Don't they look cute?!. Meet Jackson, Joshua and Jasmine who have joined the herd of goats that graze Bournemouth's cliffs. They will need their jumpers up there won't they?. π
I hope your all coping in this sudden cold snap. I awoke to snow this morning which is unusual for us down south before Jan!. Luckily it didnt last long but its still very cold. I'm sure a lot of you had the same so i hope your keeping as warm and well as possible.
MistyX
P.s. Despite my letter to gastro surgeon explaining how i've worsened, he asked his secretary to tell me that he couldnt justify upgrading my appt to urgent. I wasnt sick enough so i'm facing a long, hard wait to see him.
I've written to my foot surgeon asking if i can go onto the op waiting list as foot hurts more now too!. Hopefully he will agree. π€
Will keep you updated and thank you for all your support. It means so much.

They are the cutest little kids ever! β€οΈβ€οΈ Glad they have woolly jumpers to keep them warm. It is very cold where I am in NE Scotland. π₯Ά Have had a little snow but it is worse further north. It is freezing though. Temperatures are dropping below zero overnight. I invested in a oversized hoodie which is keeping me very toasty βΊοΈ
Iβm sorry that you are needing to wait to see your gastro surgeon. Often think that medics donβt understand just how bad a patient feels. It can be hard to explain how bad you feel too. Sorry to hear about your foot too. I hope that you do get put on the list for surgery. You have suffered enough with this.
Take care and stay warm Xx π₯Ά βΊοΈπ¨βοΈβοΈ
Many thanx GE, for your very kind , understanding mesdage. I really do appreciate it. So glad you liked the three kids. I certainly wouldn't want to be standing on cliffs in this wintry weather. Thank goodness they've got those jumpers!. Your oversized hoodie sounds very toasty, such a good buy. Ive invested in a longer, fleecy housecoat which is lovely. We're trying to limit the heating as much as we can!. Hope you are all managing ok.
How did you get on with your chest xray and asthma problems?. Have you an appt with respiratory yet?. I do hope so. Your so right ge about this tough waiting. Doctors don't know what its like although i had told my gastro consultant it was the worst pain ive ever had!. Ive had foot problems for 5 years now and this digestive problem ive had a year which is why i don't fancy waiting another 9 months, not with severe pain, its not right!
At least i tried and i talk to my pain consultant next week and she might write to him for me. She understands so well and is very supportive.
I hope you keep well and cosy this week ge and you don't get snow. Take care. Xx
My chest x-ray came back clear but my breathing is still really bad. Canβt even make my bed without using my inhaler. My asthma nurse thinks I have long Covid. π Havenβt got an appointment at respiratory yet. Hope one arrives soon but with these strikes and delays who knows π€·π»ββοΈ Will do all I can to keep as warm as possible. My oversized hoodie is really good. Meant to drop to -8 here tonight! π₯Ά π₯Ά
I'm really sorry ge your suffering so much!. Does sound like it could be long covid as your chest xray was clear!. I have read that long covid can happen in people who had covid mildly!. Its a nasty virus and i do hope you improve soon.
These strikes are a huge worry for us , getting help and delaying much needed appt's!. π€that you hear from respiratory soon.
Keep warm and cosy, i saw how low Scotland's temp was last night . TAKE CARE. Xxπ₯ππ₯π€π₯ππ₯
Hi Misty and what a cute threesome they are too and just love their names - bless them.
So sorry that youβre not getting much joy with your appointments , I hope you donβt have to wait too long . Hand in there Misty , sending lots of love π
Thanx svfarmer for your lovely mesdage of support. So glad you liked the kids. Have Bea and Mira got their xmas jumpers ready?. They look so adorable too.
Have you got snow?. We had a light covering yesterday and today and its bitterly cold. Good excuse to hibernate like the hedgehogs!. Ha!.
I'm going to see if my Pain Consultant will write to him for me on 21st. That will help and she really understands what living with this level of pain is like!.
Aww arenβt they cute, love their little jumpers, theyβll definitely need those in this cold.
Weβve got possible snow showers tomorrow, I like the snow from indoors in the warm and the girls will love it!
Hope you enjoy the dancing tomorrow and Monday.
Will catch up in the week after Rheumy appt, feeling a bit overwhelmed with everything at the moment, my time out is playing about with the JL calendarπ, I find it quite therapeutic and relaxing, love the games .
Glad you liked the threesome dianne. I hope it doesnt snow and you get to Rheumy appt ok. There's always something extra for us to worry about. I should think you do feel overwhelmed as you've had so much to deal with lately.
Will keep my π€that your Rheumy appt goes well and your not discharged!!. Will think of you lots.
The JL Calendar is wonderful , Its The quickest way to decorate a room and tree for xmas!. Haha!.
I'm not finding many elves are you?.
For once ive got the same scene as its snowed here again!. Not much but a covering so i keep indoors. I totally agree how lovely it is to look at but not participate in!!. π
I'm talking to gp tomorrow as need higher dose codiene because of the pain. I'm quite sure he won't offer to write!. Its better coming from a doctor i feel and i do feel let down on this by him!.
NoRUSH to REPLY lovely, just when you feel able. TAKE CARE and KEEP WARM. Big hugs. Xxβππ€πππ€
As for snow yes itβs snowing as I write this, itβs coming up the channel, started about an hour ago, it looks very pretty but itβs sooo cold out there.
Good luck with your GP tomorrow, I hope youβre able to sort your pain relief out and hope he writes, itβs worth a try isnβt it.
Take care lovely and keep snug π₯Άπ πΌβοΈππxxx
Oh no dianne, hope you can get to that appt. Its bitterly cold here so we're staying put. Hope you don't get too much snow. Thanx for your lovely wishes. I will be shocked if gp will write as mostly he won't but we'll see. π
Keeping π€for you lovely. Keep warm and cosy. Big hugs. XxβοΈπ
Hi misty, I saw the goats when visiting Bournemouth a couple of years ago, it was a lovely surprise as I didn't expect it, I love the three new additions, they are adorable, on first glance I thought it was three dachshunds until I put my glasses on ππ
Thats lovely lucylou that you saw them a couple of years ago. It brings it all to life!. When i first saw the pic i thought they were puppies too!. Haha!. π€£Keep warm and cosy, hope your not getting the snow. Xxπ₯πβοΈππ€π₯
They are gorgeous Misty. So very cute. It is freezing cold here in South Wales too, we have had snow flurries but nothing sticking thank goodness. My patio and garden path is sheet ice.
I am so sorry and so annoyed that your Gastrologist sees fit to refuse your request. He is not the one suffering the pain is he π€¬. I really hope that your foot surgeon is more amenable lovely xxx
So glad you liked them cecily. Hope Finlay is behaving better. Hope too you don't get snow as we had more today which luckily was a light covering!. Like your garden, ours too was sheet ice and in our cul de sac so its safer for us to stay home. I think the cold is lasting another week but no snow. π€same for you as thats bad enough!.
Thanx so much lovely for your good wishes. It was the gastro surgeon who made the decision not my trusted consultant who knows me!. He purely went on test results and on paper we look like there's nothing wrong but can have such debillitating symptoms!. Its been the same for you hasnt it?. My liver results stay stubbornly in the mid level of high!.
I don't fit in either category really as i'm certainly not routine and the urgent one is cancer cases and people really ill which isnt me either!. At least i tried and next week i'm talking to my Pain Consultant whose very supportive and she might write to him!.
Hope you enjoyed Strictly. I won't spoil it but reckon dance off will be close. Hamza is still on track. π
Have a warm, cosy week as possible and take care. Xxπ€βοΈππ€πβππ€ππ
Finlay is finally getting the toileting. We have only had two accidents in the house this week bless him. Biting is still ongoing. He is now 7.3 kg and his coat I bought him three weeks ago is halfway up his back. He is just pure joy.
Sadly I know only too well how you feel. I had all the tests, all negative. It is soul destroying when you cannot stand up straight with pain. We have had a light dusting of snow too. I did not go out walking with Neil and Finlay because the whole street was like an ice rink.
You stay safe and warm. I really hope the pain clinic can help you xxx
Thanx so much for your lovely wishes cecily, born out of awful experience though which makes me πͺ I will do an update about the pain clinic. I'm sure she will be really helpful. Gp has okayed more codiene and was very sorry but wouldnt write a letter for me. I'm really pleased Finlay is settling down and growing bless him!. I love how he's enhancing your lives!. Sensible not going out in this cold, awful weather. I'm not either, don't want to add broken hip to the list do we?. Ha!. π
Hope you enjoyed Strictly. The result was right wasnt it?. So close though like the Final will be too. Enjoy it and have a warm, cosy week. XxπΆππ₯π βοΈπ₯ππ€
Thank you lovely. I ventured out for a walk with Neil and Finlay yesterday but kept to the main roads and not the side roads which were sheet ice.
I loved Strictly but I disagreed for me Will should have gone through. I thought Fernβs paso was too jerky and aggressive and she made a mistake in the Charleston lift but it was very close. Nancy broke my heart when she was sobbing too πl The final will be amazing . For me Hamza is still my favourite xxx
Arenβt they cute wearing their gorgeous wee jumpers? Each one of them is a star with the fact printed on their foreheads! π€£ So lovely to see. πThanks Misty. ππ»
But Iβm sorry to hear you are still suffering whilst waiting to see the gastro surgeon. I really feel for you. And the wretched foot pain returning and worsening too. π« My shoulder pain has returned with a vengeance the steroid injection having only lasted about a month, and my lower back pain, thanks to the KORE therapy I had, has gone from excruciating to bearable and intermittent so Iβm grateful for that. But whether it is connected to my Lupus I donβt know because Iβm still waiting for my Rheumy appt that was due the end of August! The NHS is in a sorry state so long waits seem inevitable sadly. βΉοΈ But thankfully things like Strictly keep us going donβt they, and give us something to look forward to.ππ» You are a real warrior Misty and so thoughtful to post uplifting cute pics for the rest of us. Love and hugs. Xxxx
Thank you spotty for your lovely messages and so glad you liked the cute threesome. I'm very sorry your suffering so much too. I hope your phone call with Dr N tomorrow is helpful as to what is happening with the pain and why?. Hopefully you can have the injection again. All this pain makes us feel so tired never mind what our illnesses do as well.
Sadly i know im in good company on forum as so many of us are waiting longer and longer in agony. So Sorry you can't get a Rheumy appt still. Shocking long time but not surprising i suppose!. Maybe another chase is a good idea?. But its having the energy isnt it?. No reply to my letter yet as i posted it and he may not get it!. πͺ will let you know when your parcel comes. Probably New Year for them both. π€£
I'm talking to my gp tomorrow too so π€we bring each other luck. Thank you for your lovely email, what a busy lass you've been!. I will reply in the week.
Enjoy Strictly. Hamza is still favourite to win but Helen Skelton is catching him up!!. I love both. Its the closest competition ever i think. Its wonderful escapism like the JLawson website!!.
At least i tried spotty to change my appt and i had a 50/50 chance of it working!!. 'Better to have tried and failed than not tried at all'
Keeping π€for you and hope you've not got snow. We have a light covering again which is so unusual before xmas!!. Take Care and Keep Cosy.Xxπ€ππ¦ππ€πππ€π₯
Pain is so draining Misty, just like you say. I hope our GPs are able to help us tomorrow.π€π Yes, you did the right thing trying to change your appt - nothing ventured nothing gained. Such a pity it didnβt work out.
But onwards and upwards hopefully.ππ» Let me know how it goes tomorrow Misty. Iβll be thinking of you. In the meantime keep warm and enjoy Strictly. βοΈπ°ππΊπ»xx
Hi Misty, I was just thinking about you yesterday and was going to write and then this morning the darling kids show up. So nice. They are adorable and with such cute names as well. Waiting for doctors is so unfair. You have been going through so much. I just can't believe how the medical system works and has so little understanding of what being in pain is like.
I started to have what is called insightful hallucinations over 2 months ago at night. At first I just thought maybe they would go away. I am awake. .They happen every day except for a few nights. For the most part they are not threatening, but very vivid and detailed and involve real things like my cat Pumpkin transforming right in front of me. I know they are not real, but definitely bizarre. I first told my rheumatologist, and of course, he was clueless. I hoped he might at least suggest a neurologist. I saw my regular doctor a week later and he was concerned and ordered an MRI right away to start with. I had the MRI and it showed a cyst of the cavum septum pellucidum. It is on the midline of the brain I think. Not sure how worried I should be, but have an appt. with my neurosurgeon who fixed 2 back vertebrae and took care of me when I broke my neck. My appt. is after Christmas. There is also a large left mastoid effusion so am seeing an ENT tomorrow.
Sorry for rambling on. I hadn't posted any of this yet, but am thinking about it. Just wish I could make some sense about it.
Hello dear Pumpkin, i've been thinking of you as i'd noticed you 'disappeared' again. Oh pumpkin, i'm so very sorry at what your having to deal with. Very serious, unusual things i should think. You must have felt very frightened, worried about brain involvement?. Thank goodness your gp realised what was needed and you had an MRI.
Have you googled some of the terms . Don't frighten yourself and i hope the ENT had helpful news about your effusion. Ive not heard of these things but also feel so sorry that your appt with neurosurgery isnt till after xmas!!. Its so hard trying to enjoy this holiday with health problems as im finding as well!. We just need our appt's. I could have a 9 month wait and i just don't know how i'll manage!. Had no idea you've recovered from a broken neck. Good your seeing the same neurosurgeon. You've been thru so much.
I've had all the usual tests to rule out cancer/gallstones/pancreas etc and i'm entering the world of unususl/rare liver conditions as this gastro surgeon is also a biliary expert. He's outlined what he will test for which seem rare as gp not heard of them!!. They say don't they, all good things come to those who wait!!. Just hope thats true. Its true that doctor's don't realise about pain and how debillitating it is and ive been suffering with this now a year on a worsening basis. Its not given the priority it should be but i've tried.
My last hope is my pain consultant who i'm talking to next week. She's very understanding and supportive so i'm hoping she will write to him. π€.
I'm sending lots of healing hugs dear Pumpkin and π€for your appt in Jan. Keep warm and well. Thinking of you lots. Xxπ ππ₯π€π π€π₯πβπ₯π
Thank you so much, Misty. I appreciate your support. You have been going through so much with no answers and let always have time to help. You are a very special person. i wish our doctor's could understand what being in health limbo is like. I hope the pain consultant can give you some help. I will keep you in my thoughts.Make sure you stay warm as well.
Thank you so much pumpkin for your very touching mesdage. I really do appreciate it and your support throughout 'cutie pics'. I do so agree that doctor's should understand what its like being in limbo land. I suppose they darent think about it too much otherwise they couldnt do their jobs!. My pain consultant is very special as she understands it all!.
How did it go with ENT?. I do hope it was reassuring and helpful. You keep warm and cosy too. Ive not been out as its too cold. Luckily breaking at the weekend back to mild!.
Have a better week and i'll pop up soon. Xxπ€πβοΈπ₯π€
Hi Misty, Sorry I am so slow at replying these days - so tired all the time. When I went to the ENT I wasn't able to see the doctor I had been to before, so was surprised to find out that the doctor was only an ear doctor. She saw only some inflammation and thought that the mri looked worse than it was??? and that the symptoms will go away. I already knew tht my hearing loss was worse. I thought the sinuses were involved because of my drainage, but she made it very clear she only looks at the ears. So for now, I still have times there is crackling, rumbling, ticking, muffling. i can live with it. Just wish i had been able to see my regular doctor. He wasn't available until the end of March. Since i have to deal with the brain cyst I will focus on that for now. I am still hoping that it will be something that can just be watched. I do want to know more about it. AS you know with what you are going through, some answers would be a good thing.
How are you doing? i know that with the holidays it makes everything more stressful when dealing with pain and not knowing what is going on. I hope you are able to enjoy Christmas. I will keep thinking and sending you good thoughts.
Thank you pumpkin so much for your lovely message. I really do feel for you not being able to see the doctor you needed to. The nhs is in meltdown now and its frightening. Shocking you must wait till March. I hope you felt a wee bit reassured to get you thru xmas. It is extra worrying when you don't know whats happening. All the very best for your Jan appt. Hoping they say similar about it. π€Im finding dec really stressful thanx to this pain. I'm doing a christmas 'cutie pic' with my latest news so keep watching. Im like you , no energy to do lots of mesdages. Sending lots of healing hugs pumpkin and thanx for being so supportive. TAKE CARE. Lots of love. Xxπππ€π¦ππ€π
Hi misty, love the little goats, they are my youngest favourite animal, he would love to have a small herd. We were watching a program about Serbia , lots of goats and donkeys, the donkeys milk makes the most expensive cheese !!!!
Sorry to hear things are still not progressing with your appointment , particularly when youβre in such pain π€π€π€ Things are getting so bad in nhs so understaffed. ππΌππΌππΌππΌ you will make progress soon .
I think my flare is settling a bit , or maybe im just getting used to it π€£
Take care and stay warm in this freezing weather, I eventually put on warmer quilt and i think the extra weight in quilt is helping me sleep better !!
Sending you a bid hug , feel better soon xxxxπ€π€β€οΈπ₯°π₯Άπ
Thanks weathervane for your lovely message. So glad you liked the kids. Lovely your youngest wants a herd of goats!. I think they are the easiest to look after. Never thought of donkey's milk making cheese. Wonder what it tastes like?. Have you watched This farming life on BBC. Its such a lovely program and it features different farms in Scotland and Ireland sometimes. They can have goat herds and its interesting learning how they've diversified!.
I hope you see Adrian Dunbar's 2 part series, it was lovely. You grew up in such a wonderful area.
I'm so pleased that retuximab seems to be working better this time for you. π€it continues for xmas.
Thank you for your commiserations over my appt. The nurses are on strike today and next week and the posties still. I'm talking to my Pain Consultant next week and she's so helpful and supportive. I'm hoping she offers to write to him. My gp wouldnt and i feel llet down by him. He's given me more codiene but its horrible being so drowsy and in pain. He's very supportive but only to a point!. The gastro surgeon's office did say if it gets unbearable to go to A&E which i don't rule out but choose your day.!
We've got a wren's nest in a new tree in our front garden like last year!. Be lovely watching it. Shortest day soon so not long till we're facing Spring again. Its been the coldest we've known in a long time.
Hope you enjoyed Strictly Semi final!. What a close one but i think the right result. Enjoy the Final, think we're in for a treat. I do hope Hamza wins. I may even vote!!.
Have a lovely weekend and keep warm.I'm doing an update next week for 'cutie pics'. Xx π₯ππ₯π€π π€βππ₯
You have such a lot going on at the moment misty , i hope you donβt end up in A&E , the waits are awful and you donβt always get answers. I had to go by ambulance last year as i took rigors during the night, i never found the cause , i was lucky though as was taken straight in .
Hopefully it is to warm up a bit after this weekend, it has been so cold and icy, my feet never warm even in thermal socks ! Canβt wait for spring, my favourite month π₯°.
So excited for the strictly final , I havenβt a clue who will win though my favourite is Hamza ,he is a natural dancer!
Take care , have a lovely weekend , looking forward to the next cuties .
Glad you like them kay, it proves that despite the awful news there are nice/positive things happening!. We just need to know about them!!. Its a great distraction for me from pain finding them!. Xxπ₯βοΈπ₯π€βοΈπ₯βοΈπ€βοΈπ₯βοΈ
