At the Lister Hospital , a lovely therapy pony was doing her rounds and bringing joy to the patients. It was heartwarming seeing this as mostly you see dogs as therapy animals, don't you?.
Maybe you have a different experience in hospital?. Anyway, hope you like it and your all keeping away from hospital as much as you can but not suffering either!. Hope your near the end of waiting as i am!.

P.s, i've just had a very positive appointment with foot surgeon. He really feels he will transform me getting rid of this Morton's Neuroma!. It won't be long now he said so we did the consent form. Next up is the pre-op tests on 18/1. Will let you know how i get on. Thanx so much for all your support. Xx

Thank you for asking Misty. My GP would not discuss the CT results with me but the Rheumatologist kindly read it to me. I have a mass 2.5 by 1.8 cm in my basal cavity . It has grown into my sinus cavity but thankfully not behind my eye or up to my brain. The mucus membranes are abnormally thickened but no erosion of the bone. My Rheumatologist was saying that he is no expert but the mass is significant and fast growing. He did not want to give he fakes hope but said he will call the ENT Consultant to advise on operating safely with Bechets patients. Given my swollen ulcerated tongue, sores on my fingers, fatigue and pain he said he was inclined to start immunosuppressants but given that I will need surgery quickly he thinks it us nitta good idea to start then have to stop. Apparently the ENT Consultant us liaising with the vascular surgeon whether to do a biopsy and full body scan or just to remove the mass . I will find out on Friday what the plan is. I will be honest and say I am worried xxx
Oh cecily, i am so sorry at your worrying news and having to go thru this!. Amazing isn't it when its suddenly needed, you've got 2 consultants liasing with each other as to best way to treat you. Thank goodness you have got skilled doctor's forming the best plan. Don't we put our lives in their hands?. 🤞for friday and better news. I will think of you as i'm talking to my gp then. Thank you Misty. All the very best for your GP appointment too.Wouldn’t it be wonderful if we actually got some things sorted to ease our pain. The Rheumy said ok what is the -Kansas? I said sort my face, then my nether regions, then my right knee, then my kept knee unless of course aI am terminal in which case will pop pills, eat what I want and enjoy what life I have. Xxx
Thank you too cecily, its a telephone one and luckily straightforward. It was quite something the Rheumy was willing to put you on immuno -suppressives and then this has to come along and ruin everything!!. Glad he was better and joining the teams. Keeping 🤞for you. Xx

Thank you so much Kay. It means a lot to be able to speak of the fear. My husband us in denial and friends think it is just a little polyp. The pressure behind my eye us awful and my sight us becoming mire blurry in that eye by the day. As they cannot remove it endoscopically because it us badly ulcerated and running with blood and mucus constantly I am anxious about How they will get it out and whether I will be adversely affected afterwards l I know I should think positively but my luck seems non existent. If I get a benign diagnosis I will be delighted as I am told paranasal cancers are very rare 🤞🏻 xxx
I am so hoping it is benign. It is understandable that your husband is trying everything his brain can manage to think it is « nothing serious. ». You can always come here if feel like expressing fears.
That is simply amazing that a pony was allowed in the hospital! That would brighten anyone’s day. Lino is on my lap now. Yes, these soft, furry guys do provide comfort.
I am looking forward to a successful operation for you. My only regret is that I can’t bring a pony to your house during your recuperation!

Hi, good luck with the Doc. Just want to share some experience with you. I had a Morton’s neuroma many years ago. It was so painful. I was in my 30s at the time. In the cold weather I could hardly put my foot on the floor because of the pain. I then started training to be a reflexologist. We had to practice on each other regularly to help with our training. About a year later it started easing and suddenly was gone! What a huge relief that changed my life. I read about a year later (for the life of me I can’t remember where but it was some medical report) that deep compression massage can help ease a Morton’s neuroma. What is reflexology but a targeted deep compression massage. It doesn’t mean the therapist has to use pressure to hurt you or anything, just be regular and targeted. This may be useless information to you but I thought I’d share. I’ve never had any pain since and after years of excruciating pain it was a godsend. I’m 67 now. Good luck with it all. Thank you bowenlady for sharing your experience of having a Morton's Neuroma. I really do appreciate what you've said and i'm sorry to be slow in replying. Yes, they're very painful aren't they and i'm so pleased training to be a reflexologist helped you get rid of yours. I know other people who've got lucky and there's have gone. I've had it 2 years now and tried many different things but not reflexology. The surgeon only touched my foot in a particular way in clinic and it was agony. Still not recovered now!!. I'm not sure that i could tolerate something as strong as massage on my foot!. I think i will stick to the plan to get rid of it and my surgeon was so positive that it will work. He's done a previous op on the same foot and i had fantastic results. He's such an expert on feet, i trust him implicitly. Don't really want an op so i will think about your experience.

Hello lovely svfarmer, i thought of you when i saw the pic. You would have loved to see your furry girls whilst in hospital. I don't think our hospital does pets as therapy on a regular basis, just for special requests i think. I do hope your feeling stronger and your 'furry nurses' are looking after you properly.

Happy New Year krazykat and thank you so much for your lovely wishes for ops. There's been nothing for weeks on end and then suddenly i've got appt's together in Jan. Including a Dexa Scan one which is so important. Thats life isn't it?. How about you?. How are you getting on with the MTX and steroid withdrawal?. I hope your coping well on it still. My mtx dose needs to be increased and luckily there's room to do it!!. Just need Rheumy appt. We have such long waits just for a clinic appt.
