Ulcers !!!!!!!!!!!!

I have yet another ulcer in my mouth ! I assume this is down to my Sjogrens ! but that side of my mouth/ gum is such a deep red colour , is this normal ?

My dentist would recommend hot salty water mouthwashes.

I don't know if it is normal - but I do know how painful it can be, and that the mouthwashes are very soothing.

It's the SLE and sounds normal to me Larissa. I sometimes get them up my nose too. Avoid Corsadyl mouthwash as it turns your teeth brown!

Thanks for mentioning this tigerlily - I have been concerned my teeth had become yellow & now I know why! What mouthwash do you use? I suffer from ulcers and sore gums.

A little Aloe Vera Juice (several times a day when problems ..keep in mouth for a while before swallowing) and also the Aloe Vera Gel (at night) helps me. Hope you feel better soon. xxx

my daughter uses oaraldene you can buy it or get it on prescription she can't do without it

Hi, I get lots of ulcers and use Hydrocortisone 2.5mg muco-adhesive buccal tablets they are available both on and off prescription and are amazing for me and can clear my mouth in either one or two five day courses. It is the only thing I have found to work as sometimes my mouth is so covered in ulcers it is difficult to eat.

I strongly suggest you try these they have worked wonders for me many times over

Hi, I frequently have ulcers and am told its just part of Lupus, one once over an inch in size. I find bicarbonate of soda on it works wonders. I tend to put it on a night time mostly as it stays in place better. Hope you find something that works for you. Kat x
