Lidocaine Patches/Gel
I have read that
Lidocaine
patches really help but are no longer available on the NHS according to my GP as they are very expensive. Does anyone have any experience of the following: Getting a private prescription and if so, how much the patches cost?

A doctor is recommending I try a
lidocaine
patch for diagnostic reasons. Does anyone have experience with it or know if it is contraindicated for afib? It is apparently a sodium channel blocker. It is sold over the counter as IcyHot etc. Thank you so much!

Vulvodynia and fibromyalgia
Hi all, I've had fibromyalgia for 7 years, but after a number of months of new burning, sore pain down below, ive been diagnosed with vulvodynia 😒 Apparently it's quite common for folks with fibro 🙄 I've increased my amitryptaline to 60mg, and use
lidocaine
5% ointment, hrt cream and usual self care

Pregabalin -v- Tramadol
I’m happy about this but wanted to know people’s experience of Pregabalin - does it work well for you 🤞🏻 I’m also on 50mg Amitriptyline and wear
Lidocaine
patches in the day along with wireless TENS. Need all of this to be able to work full time. Thank you 😊🙏🏻

Eating only soft foods and
lidocaine
mouthwash to help. My eye dryness is good on some days. Still using prescription drops. I’m still loosing hair. All this with no pain is a Catch 22. Still fatigue but sleeping better.

Saw the Consultant today who proposed
Lidocaine
Patches! Unfortunately he then went on to say that the funding for this medication has been stopped! Does anyone have any experience of this treatment as to whether it’s effective or not.

Penis Health 14 weeks post Circumcision
I have been proscribed an
L-Arginine
gel to treat this issue and
and
Prilocaine
gel for my sensitivity. I recently tried wearing an underwear and it went just fine. But there is a new issue with that, thanks to the secretions my glan opening (or is it meatus?)

New knee pain
I have
lidocaine
patches, cocodamol and amitriptyline for my condition. I have an appointment booked for next week with the GP and currently waiting for a nerve block injection as I'm under pain management. My question is, has anybody had similar to what I am experiencing and what is the cause?

Brugada & Local Anaesthetic
I know the
lidocaine
types need to be controlled to stop them travelling around the body (adreniline used I believe - when at dentist) I will raise this with my consultant at my next appt but I am worried that any treatment needing a local will be prevented....?

Evidence that lidocaine (a local anaesthetic) has anti cancer properties
Lidocaine
under both normoxia and hypoxia had no effect on Nav1.7 mRNA expression. VGSCα protein expression was suppressed by
lidocaine
under normoxia but no effect was seen in hypoxia.

Test day
Then we had 2 goes at getting a sample, which meant I had a full dose of
lidocaine
(they used 2 sites)so when I eventually got up my right leg barely held up .The S1 nerve damage is well and truly irritated.I'm assuming it's from the position I was in .luckily the next doc managed to get the samples,

Pain Concern
The shot is a combination of
lidocaine
and a steroid. The
lidocaine
will numb for around 6 hours, but the steroid can take a few days to work. My concern is--- after the the numbing wears off, will my shingles pain be worse? I have not slept all night worrying and in pain from these shingles.

lidocaine infusion didn’t work - I feel so down, what should I do?
So I went to a private doc who suggested
lidocaine
infusions. I had my first infusion 4 weeks ago, and it hasn’t worked :( I feel so down. I don’t know what I should do now. Does
lidocaine
sometimes only work after 3 or 4 infusions? I thought I saw that somewhere. Or is Ketamine better?

Need advice
Two grueling 12-13 hour visits to ER.... pain being treated with Ocycodone, Muscle relaxer, Tylenol,
Lidocaine
patches. It seems to me like the pain just keeps moving. Get it under control in one area and it pops out in another. This has progressed rather quickly in past two weeks.
