how do you make these decisions?

To make the wisest ones for our well being and health and lowest stress?

Get a place I found for 18 days nearby on 5 acres in the hottest part of summer for a break from the ac here? and then there is a choice of a room there or a casita.

how in the heck do I figure these things out?

or ask landlord if I can put smallest mini split in bedroom and try that this summer?

I have to try either one to see, put forth the energy and do it and then see.

how do I understand what is going to be best and wisest decisions for me?

do you wait till you cannot take anymore of the ac or do it now?

non refundable for both.

It is for my health. I need to have some rest without my head and spinal cord taking a beating.

what do I do to make these decisions please? does anyone know a good way to make wise decisions, I am confused how?

Hi Peacefulandcalm,

I think it is very hard to make decisions when already in a bad state. I think that it is better to prepare and plan as much as possible beforehand. I know you had other challenges and it wasn't possible.

I am glad you found a place for 18 days. Is the room in a shared accommodation? If you are in distress, then perhaps having a self contained accommodation is better as other people might bring stress particularly as you have sensitivity to noise.

I don't know if the mini split system has the right capacity for your place. There are some calculations of cubic metres or something regarding to cooling and the capacity needed. If the a/c is too small then it won't coil the space enough. The temperature in your part of the world is extremely hot so I would think the higher capacity might be needed and the unit will have to work harder which means maybe noisier, I don't know.

There is a quiet mode but it might take longer time to make the space cool and will need to keep on running. I would look into different manufacturers and see what's on offer.

Some bigger units cool the space very well but I don't know what is involved in installing them. We have one existing and added one smaller a/c (both are reverse cycle) and asked a company to install it. It took a few hours.

I hope you can figure things out and perhaps have the landlord install a good unit. It is very hot in your part of the world so I am hoping that the landlord will understand that...

Sending hope and support xx

I did answer a part of this question on the A&D site.

To address the piece about decision making.... I do take my time and weigh pros and cons. I write things down and access a few resource people to answer questions

As far as the mini split Nathalie99 brings up good points as far as sizing for you square footage. My suggestion would be to gather this information before you approach your landlord. I think it's better to present your research so he doesn't have to do it.

I wish you the best with this. I know when it's hot you struggle

hi Dolphin, thank you,

yes, I struggle agony, dizzy, can't stand up etc, with heat and ac on brain and spine day and night.

I am going to buy a brace to keep my neck up this summer.

I have hired a handyman to hang shade cloths to shade above the bedroom over the roof, to cut some heat down too.

I am too tired, but I will think on airbnb and mini split with all people said, thank you <3
