It feels different being on a website sharing parts of my story. I've never done anything like this before. Over the last months I was able to discover why I've experienced anxiety during specific circumstances. Childhood trauma. I tend to feel the most uncomfortable in larger group settings where this is intimacy and vulnerability. There's this fear that I won't be accepted and will be "attacked" in some form. Mostly emotionally. It's sad having gone so much of my life knowing something was wrong but not really knowing what or why. At least now I have the answers I had been searching for. My dream or goal is to be able to heal completely and fully. I am experiencing a deeper level of freedom each and every day. My plan is to keep going, and keep doing my best, until I feel fully confident and comfortable being myself around anyone, anywhere. I figure its like a muscle that has to be worked. The more I expose myself and keep opening up, the easier and more natural it will feel. I also know that the brain is a beautiful and powerful organ. It is resilient and strong. I am loving and nurturing myself as best I can. I keep reminding myself that baby steps are okay. Any progress is beautiful and meaningful. I am enough.
