I think I resolved my trauma from being kidnapped for about an hour 50 years ago….he did touch me…is that why I do not sleep throughout the night…it happened in the middle of the night…I did have therapy years later…I did forgive him…never knew who he was…and the strange thing is..it is so easy to still feel his presence..thanks for reading..

Hi lolanell. We are very vulnerable when we sleep. It's important to trust your surroundings to let your body and mind feel at ease enough to let you drift off. Something that really helps me is having my cat sleep next to me. It's not that I think he will protect me, but he makes me feel calm and easy, like nothing's wrong. It's different for everyone. I'm sorry for what you went through. I've had a lot of issues sleeping, so I know it's a struggle. I hope you find something that works.

Thanks for the reply….I do sleep with a doll or a stuffed lamb at times..and hold a pillow…when I was young I did sleep with my Mom…at times I did wake up and see him standing over me…it rarely ever happens now….
