Some things I've learned lately ❤

I've been changing my thought patterns and working on the way I think for awhile now & here are some things I do to amend my negative thoughts or correct them as they come. In other words, I'm giving myself a loving kick in the butt. 🤣❤

• "It feels like no one really cares about me." has turned into, "I care about myself, I can take care of myself, I deserve compassion from myself of all people." ❤

• "I'll never get it right" or "I'm a mess up" has turned into, "Everyone makes mistakes, even people who seem like they have it together. You're human and you'll make mistakes sometimes, it's okay!" 💚

• "What if I don't make it?" has transformed into, "I CAN make it, and what will happen when I DO make it? What will change positively in my life?" 🥰

I am not a believer in toxic positivity, so this isn't what I mean. Toxic positivity can be harmful because it doesn't let you experience the range of emotions (both negative and positive) that you need to, to heal (or at least try to heal as much as we can!) But, I do think that loving yourself and embracing yourself in this way does have a good impact. Your feelings are valid and you are loved!

I love you all and I'm wishing the best for you! 💛🌻😍

Good for you, I think realizing that we are not our thoughts, being able to detach from them and never believing our anxious negative thoughts is key to recovering our true, whole self. Knowing that their role, although misguided, was to protect us helps in better self- understanding and acceptance.
