How do you reward yourself? After weekly visits to my therapist, I stop at a thrift store for a little treasure hunting. At home I calm myself by going outside and pruning my flowers. I think we all need to be less critical of ourselves and nurture ourselves more. Maybe sharing some of the good things we do for ourselves will help.

Great post!

I love walking home from my appointments in the sunshine while listening to music.

Yes! Rewarding yourself is a good thing... It dosn't have to be huge either... visit the thrift store, coffee at a favorite coffee shop, a visit to a hobby shop or plant shop!

Yes...my reward initially when I leave is I feel like someone cares to listen to me. Then I might get a coffee with cream. I try to stay away from the cream. So, it's a reward. And then stop at this 1 store, that has great brand clothes & accessories for way way less cost.

I agree...reward yourself! I'm trying to get thru PTSD, so the rewards work well for me. Still trying to get my self esteem back.

Talk soon,

I go to the museum on my way home from therapy. It's quite big and I walk around for as long as my feet can endure. I loose myself in the exhibits. I'm also not averse to some op shopping (thrift in NZ is opportunity shops). I also enjoy a cider and have a glass nearly every night, just one glass.

Walking through a museum is a great idea! I wish there was one nearby. I like the name, opportunity shops. I was fortunate to visit NZ many years ago :)

I usually do the thrift store after a doctors appointment.

Don't do any evening chores after the therapist, just come home & treat myself to laying on the couch & reading a fiction book or watching something I've recorded on TV. No work, just lounge time.

That sounds boring.

Think I'll look for something more treatie like Dunkin Donuts.
