ive been told by my psycologist to look at what i can do, not what i could do, so i like animals i am going to rescue some chickens just four girls but they wont feel out of place all my animals have something wrong with them.Just need a good day to put their house together hopefully i will be well enough tomorrow

I bought a cushion shaped like a chicken for part of my pals 60th prezzie.

She has retired and bought 4 chickens...only 1 is laying eggs so far....however yesterday one of the other chickens laid an egg so she decided to bath them all and blow their feathers dry....is this allowed Kaz?

Well I never bathed my chickens, so,I don't know, but it's such a brilliant image in my mind now. I love that she gave them each a wash and blow dry. That will have me smiling all day.

It's very popular loads of people round by me keep hens and roosters fortunately the rooster works on US time and crows in the afternoon...

Brilliant! One of my bestest of friends has just started keeping henny pennys and occassionally she gives me beautiful golden eggs so lovely. Wish I could but my dog would be far to interested in chasing them around the garden good luck xgins

Wow I'm so jealous I'd love to keep chickens but as we have a dog and a cat they wouldn't be allowed free run of the garden so I'd feel bad. Enjoy. Especially enjoy the fresh eggs.

We have three chickens. They are so easy to look after and produce delicious eggs. They love their porridge on cold snowy mornings and their daily digestive biscuit. They even get on with my two dogs.

I too own chickens, they bathe in dust baths like any other bird, no way should they have water put on them unless its to clean any area for medical reasons e.g. Egg bound or prolapse etc. Ducks enjoy the water not chuckies unless its for drinking purposes.
