Clicking jaw
Hi Lucyw, I also have a clicky jaw and fibromyalgia apparently alot of people with fibro have this problem. I have had a clicky jaw for about 30 years but have only had fibro for about 2 years. I saw someone recently for some reiki and she noticed my jaw problem and realigned things, since then I have been able to open my mouth alot better. Amazing. Sorry cant be any more help.
hello, this is the first time i;ve thought about my past medical history.
i've had a sleeping brace made for jaw clicking locking.i've got a bit of IBS and had costochordritis ( sore chest bone). rashes from body washers. all in the last 3years.Very sore neck and shoulders. all in past.
now my knees hurt down inner sides, sore when presses in and really odd things what i thought was nothing, burning knees and restless legs, so tired i thought i must be so lazy, hearing strange sounds. im going to a orthopedic about my sore knees and neck again. now i feel i wanna say about all this other stuff, but will he think i'm crazy?x

hiya i have a clicky jaw to my dentist cant explain it so i can only think its caused by the fibro xx
Hello Lucy, I am sorry to hear you are suffering from a clicking jaw, this could have been caused by a few things, possible poor dental work to name but one thing. It isn't specifically related to having Fibromyalgia.
It would be worth speaking to your Dentist about your jaw to rule out anything from a dental point of view.
Also please have a word with your GP about this too because it may relate to a condition called TMJD for example.
Here is a link to some information on TMJD
Here is the link to TMJ Support UK where there is a wealth of information about TMJD, associated symptoms and possible causes etc.
I hope you find this helpful.

I also have TMJ had 3 ops in 1992 its bit better but not resolved still get lots of pain with this also but with hindsight I was left with MRSA after this op and this seems to be when my fibro kicked off I was only officially diagnosed with fibro and CFS in 2010 but I've had it to lesser degrees since 1992 its been downhill eversince - I get a huge amount of pain in my sinus region when I have a head cold like now as I've got screws that go into the sinus region but you really need your gp or dentist to refer you on witth jaw problems don't suffer with it otherwise it will just get worse - good luck x x
