I stayed in a hotel last week where meals were self-service on a buffet bar.
One lady used the serving tools at each section, she used a serving spoon to put some cauliflower on her plate. she dropped some onto the counter. she put down the spoon, scooped the cauliflower up in her hand and tossed it back into the server tray !!!!

Seriously I find these things a bit worrying as I went to a children's panto the other day (Oh yes I did) and I went to the loo at the half time and not one of the blokes who 'went' washed their hands, I was on edge for the rest of the evening in case I came into contact with one of those dirty people.
I don't use public restrooms to wash in, I do carry around a santi gel in my handbag which will do until I get home where I know my towels are clean to dry my hands on and the people traffic is far less.
Solet me get this right, once dropped it was not fit for her to eat, but tossed back in it became fit for others to eat. Ewww Would not want to go to her house. Imagine going around for Xmas dinner and she dropped something on the floor, you would be wondering just whose plate she had chucked it on lol. Any food I drop goes straight in the bin even if on the worktop at home. Now if the dog gets it first then that is a different matter, he becomes the bin. And as someone mentioned about hand washing, I see it all the time. One lady had me totally baffled. I was washing my hands when she came out fo the loo, looked at me by the only sink there was and went straight to the hand dryer and proceeded to......dry her already dry hands! I could not help myself and asked her if she had washed her hands in the loo bowl as that was the only other place I could see her getting her hands wet, Sorry, but I cannot resist things like that xxxxx
I know some of the stories are sickening literally. So I will not repeat them it's just how some people are and they would be the first to say they always wash their hands
