I have had a terrible weekend, my pain is so intense, I lay on the bed for an hour waiting for the painkiller to work, little tears seaping from my eyes and Im burning up. I feel weak and numb and I cant focus. I feel like i am dying and they forgot to tell me. Hope tomorrow is kinder?

I think also the weather does'nt help particularly when its cold and damp i feel a difference particularly with my Osteoarthrtis in the knee' i think winters are very difficult for people like us too cold stiff damp and slippy with the leaves on the ground, are well stay warm and keep well Sue xxx

Amen to all of the above, Why do we feel guilty because we have to stay in bed? Stay in bed until you feel a little better.

I know how this feels nobody can understand what the pain is like until they experience it for themselves...you poor thing I hope you got some relief in the end....I am like this on a regular basis....its terrible...sometimes I feel like I want to just die because I want the pain to stop!!...The colder weather definitely affects me more...than the warmer summer months...so my heart goes out to you...just know that we all understand here.. Gentle Hugs Bev :)

sorry to hear you feel so poorly there is nothing worse than being in pain. Just wondering if your dr could give you a telephone consultation just to check that nothing else is wrong. I think the winter months are worse due to the damp. hope you get feel a bit better soon i know the familiar feeling of the tears leaking out. damn this illness for making us all feel so bad. I use a heat pad or alternate ice pack if that may help. x

Aw so sorry to hear your pain is so bad. I think we all can sympathize with you as we all know how bad the pain can be.

Although a lot of us take painkillers, is it just me that juts gets a little relief from them, just enough to take the edge off ,doesn't take it away though. Its like severe toothache all over your body - I do find having a hot bath helps (when I can get in that is lol) Ive taken to lying in bed ( yes feel really guilty lying there ) with the electric blanket on low -seems to help a little.

The cold weather doesn't help either !!

I hope you feel better today hun ,its so hard to carry on living when you,re in so much pain but think of the odd good days you get. I think we all feel like we are dying- I know I do most days

.Luv n hugs hun xx

Hang on in as best you can. I also have days where I feel that I am never going to be out of pain and then eventually, when the pain subsides a little, it is such a relief. We fibromites are just SO grateful when the pain eases. Most of us don't know what it is like to be free from pain anymore and yet we all struggle on as best we can. I am sure a lot of people, if they experienced just for a few hours, the sort of pain we have on a daily basis would take to their beds.

Be gentle with yourself and rest as much as you need to. I am not very good at taking my advice as I tend to push myself and then suffer for it afterwards! BUT try not to despair. The really awful days do pass eventually. Love and very gentle hugs.

i hve days when i feel the pain is never goingto go away and when ii do have a "good day"and can do something i know it the next day when i am so stiff and in so much pain i cannot move.teh only reason i have to get up early in the morning is for my dogs.i still walk them for an hour eveyr morning even though the pain in my legs is so bad,i have lunch and go to bed for a couple of hours to get me thru the rest of the dya.pian killers only take the edge off they dont ease th pain.hope you feel better and remember ther earew some good days.everyone is thinkign of you

I have to agree Anbuma, with all you say. Real sore lady, we are all in the same boat unfortunately, I seem to be feeling my fibro really bad this week, esp if my meds are delayed, I think its our bodies getting used to the damper weather. I wear a jumper, vest underneath and a big warm cardi on top, all the time, and really warm velour bottoms, (I bought 3 of the a month ago in Primark or should say told my daughter to get some, only £6 and they are so warm, I find if I wear one of my heavier jumpers, and I sometimes do, I sweat on my chest and shoulders after a while (burn up), you know what our thermostats are like!. Obviously I have better clothes to wear when out at an appointment, but the last thing I feel like doing is dressing up. My daughters good though she makes me let her straighten my hair when shes going with me, and take off my trainers sometimes (but theyr'e very comfortable , take care love and remember its probably only our bodies getting used to the weather, we just have to adapt, God knows I hope I do. xxxxx
