Its never straightfoward.

Hi everyone, those members that have been with this site a while will probably have read one or two of my blogs or replies.. Update on myself-- My oncologist cannot do my radiotherapy because the MRI scan showed up too many problems with my waterworks and it would be dangerous to proceed so its back to urology for more tests, ie proddings and pokings then almost certainly an operation to sort it out.Its not actually a suprise because as soon as I realised, some months back that I had a prostrate problem I weaned myself off amitriptylline which has a useful effect of stopping you needing a wee in the night but in my case was masking my problems.

I have gone back to a small dose now just10-20mg at night because I had extreme pain in the bladder region.

I saw my G.P. this morning because my nurse is bothered about my breathing. My G.P. was horrified because for the first time she has seen me in a fibro flair. So lots of blood tests, xrays ( which I just walked straight in to) and she is doing a new test on my immune system.

I was too fogged to take in the detail but will keep you posted..With the fibro flair and the cancer treatment I can sleep the clock round and can only drive very short distances.

In spite of all this because we have had a rough year I have managed to arrange a suprise party for my wedding anniversary with 16 of our friends for my wife. Its not till december but needed to book early to get a private room. Cross your fingers for me I will make it and not be flat on my back in some hospital

the best thing is your doctor saw you when you were at your worst. I often think that I get to the doctors when things are improving and wished I could walk into the doctors when I need to see them instead of waiting for an appointment. Thinking of you and hope all goes well with your party. xxx
