I know what you mean fed up with medication

Every now and again I feel like that and stop

My medication.

My IBS then returns and I realise I feel better

Taking medication than I do with out them

I don't think it can be controlled any other

Way but it's always worth a try as long as

You can do it safe

I tried doing fibro naturally but didn't sleep without night meds and without painkillers I just seize up.... I know it's a pain taking meds I am allergic to so many but if you find a way to manage without meds please post I,ll try anything to get off meds.

Will defo post, I read bowt pesticides in fruit and veg posted in daily mail by a doc who had fib she cut out anything that had anything in it, something to do with too many oxalates in pesticides, too many of them don't break down and crystalize in your body and sit there, I've been cutting these out where I can, it's early days so not sure yet but as she was a doctor I did take note and giving it a try, I will take pain killers as and when I need them, hope this info's useful, take care you

Yeah I saw that post too, my first thought on that was . . . hmmmm as well! I just wondered how on earth did she manage to test all the tender points on herself (especially those on her back) to come up with the diagnosis!

I only take the stronger prescription painkillers I have in the evenings and if I'm out and about during the day I rely on OTC paracetamol tabs or Ibuprofen gel or Voltarol gel on the really sore bits (can't take them as tabs cos they irritate my tummy). If I'm really bad I just have a PJ day & dope myself up to the eyeballs - the "boys" (hubby, son & dog) can take care of themselves (if only!). The dog's not speaking to me tonight as I was away for the day with my pal!

hi

I found that if I took enough pain killers to get rid of pain I was so out of it I could not function, so decided to live with pain. Do take them at night as I need rest. I also do relaxation, lots of therapy, hot water bottles, gentle excercise. Eat well
