I take both naproxen and co-codamol, I've been taking naproxen in various dosages for over 25 years. I have had less side effects from it than many others I've been prescribed over the years.

It all depends on the individual but I really haven't heard of any problems, ie side effects, from taking it. Given the years I've used it that's v. comforting.

My aunt had the same reaction to co-codamol as well, I occasionally do get the same thing but I control it best I can when it happens. I think it's something that happens to a lot of people. Maybe the strength or sensitivity to something in it.

I had Naprosyn and co codamol but the co codamol wasnt good for me but i have never had any problems with Naprosyn and its what i take if the pain isnt bad enough for tramadol.

try it and see how you get on. x

Thanks for the feed back going to try it now thank you lots of hugs take care.

Fine with Naproxen and Ibupropen and one brand of Paracetamol but give me anything with codeine and opiates and I am violently sick and dizzy!

I'm fine with both naproxen and co-codomol. I was swapped to naproxen from celecoxib. at first I wasn't keen but after a couple of weeks, it was fine and they certainly work for what I'm prescribed it for - as I found out to my cost when I accidentally ran out!

good luck with it. as with any medication, you can only try it and see.

They were good but my old GP wasn't! He put me on these without any stomach lining tablets and it resulted in me being taken into hospital with a bleeding gastric ulcer and now will never be allowed to take anti inflammitaries again. So i'm on Co-Codamol now. So thats my one bit of advise is to make sure your on these.

Hope the pain is relieved for you.

Hi I take 500 twice a day and lansopresol 15mg with it for my stomach and no probs. My rheumotology said it helps with inflamation but must take it regular to work plus take pain killers with it. I take either paracetamols, codamols, or tramadol depending on the pain. But I take cocodamol when i'm home ar it makes me dizzy and take laxido with it for the constipation! Good luck x

just to send gentle hugs to you,I have just bought an electric heat pad as I find the wheat bags hurt if behind you or are heavy on your neck.this one covers neck and back. The downside is I've been too hot to use it,but will let you know how it goes.
