I have been taking 500mg for migraines for years with no problem (apart from they don’t always work) then I had 250mg for my fibro and I had the worse heartburn. If you take them regularly a ppi is supposed to help your stomach 😀😀

Like all nsaids, a main side effect is they can cause stomach problems. Generally anti inflammatory meds are not recommended for fibro, as there is no evidence of inflammation xxx

I agree with many the class of drug these federally attack the digestive system,,anyone taking these for some time need a ppi (Like omeprazole ) to protect your Gullett and stomach,,I used ibuprofen for 25 years with no knowledge of how they affect people,I now have a massive hiatus hernia and the worst gastritis reflux I need 2 ppi per day..these drugs are good for pain but wicked on digestive system.

Yes i did. I got really bad stomach where i couldnt keep anything in. Plus when i went to gp to ask why they gave me blood tests and my kidney and liver functions were through roof so was taken of them straight away.

When i came of them stomach was ok and i felt better with couple weeks.

Plus i realised they really werent doin anything for my pain either.

Im glad i stopped them when i did as it could have been really serious
