sore throat
Hi, I get sore throats regularly and a beginingto think its lnked. It does seem to happen when i am moretired than usual and have over dne it.
Would be interested if his happens to others too. xx
Do you like honey? If you can get hold of some manuka honey, (pretty expensive sadly), and take a teaspoon daily, it may help with boosting your immune system, or at least ease the soreness for a bit. It was advised to me after radiotherapy, can't say whether it worked or was just coincidense, but I did improve and enjoyed a daily treat!
yes not soo much now but at the beginning when really fatigued.....found the only thing worked was Difflam throat spray....was buying them all the time....!!!
thanx all i will try manuka honey xxx
When you buy Manuka honey dont be tempted to go for a cheap one. It is expensive but you need at least a 10+ strength or higher. Daft as it sounds also make sure it is in a plastic jar not glass. lastly dont heat it this may reduce its benefits. ps. I worked in a health shop for 13yrs before being "helped" out
Hiya peeps, Pineapple is brilliant for sore throats & congestion. Either fresh or tinned in natural juice(not syrup). xx
No woohoo that one thing i actually have never had due to fibro wont speak too soon though i hope that you can get it sorted though it not nice have you tried the usual gagling with salt water that normally does the trick and the usual over the counter lozenges love to you diddle x
One of the lesser known symptoms of fibro is post nasal drip. This is when the mucus gathers in the back of your throat and can therefore cause it to be sore all the time. I sometimes struggle to breath at night because my airwaves are being blocked. I'm not sure if this is what could be causing your sore throat but the best thing for it is apparently drinkng plenty of water which thins the mucus. What a pleasant topic for an Easter Monday lol! x
This is the first bad cold I've had in years - using both manuka honey and Difflam spray. Ibuprofen helps, so does chewing gum as it keeps the throat lubricated with saliva. Ordinary boiled sweets help too - don't bother with medicated ones - I have been told that they are full of irritants|!
