LOL!! I can also bend over, and not get up again. One handed jobs ok, as I can use other hand to support, but 2 handed...well.

At work they nag me to use my knees more, but I have mal-aligned patella and can only bob down a bit.

One of our moving and handling ladies showed me a way to pick up boxes from at my feet without straining my back, but it involves sticking a leg out at the back and keeping my chin up. When I do that I need plenty of space, and then I get "you shouldn't be doing it like that" from my work colleagues.

I always end up justifying myself when I am only trying to cope!!!!

But that is a story we all can tel.....

Hope your wrist is behaving better now, trish. I thought my mum was funny when as a teen I would have to lift her up off the floor when she stuck there......now it's me also looking for that chair to use as a lever.

I work in a photo dept at the local hospital and when I have to get on the studio floor I have to make sure it's next to a stool, and I have to get the nurses to raise the patients as high as possible in their beds so I can get in with the camera. Most nurses have bad backs too so they are ofeten happy to oblige :-)
