left wrist
I had it done and it takes at least six weeks for it to heal but that is only the wound the wrist itself takes up to six months to mend, according to my consultant hang in there it is worth it
I knew it took 6 weeks to heal.wonder if just doing everyday things could aggravate it.i carry shopping(light stuff) over my arms rather than in my hands .same with dog leads.
I was told not to use mine much at all for the first six week, gently exercising it every day though. When the six weeks were up I was allowed to lift light weight items nothing heavy for at least the six months. I did as I was told, done stretching exercises every day, not over stretching but enough to keep it flexible. I had a stitch come loose on one of my hands and it went into a lump as it healed, that is all gone now too and my hands are well healed. My surgeon was a hand specialist and his theory was why rush the healing process.
Hope that helps
I am so sorry to rad that, and I was wondering if you have been overdoing it? Please take it easy and try not to overuse your wrist.
Take care
Ken
My scar was lumpy due to a mild infection but is now a smooth white line
My surgeon told me that if it became painful to keep tapping it lightly with the first two fingers of my other hand several times a day to desencetise it.

had forgotten my surgeon had told me that, but with daily exercises and then me naturally rubbing on the wound it healed fairly quickly and no after effects
