Wrist pain
Yes.
Have you seen GP to ask about xray?
Hi Mary-intussuception,
Are you by any chance a vegan, or lack in vit D.
I have the same issues, suffer from the above due to allergies, struggle very badly with the pain, mainly all over in all my joints.
I wear those tennis players sweat bands, to keep my wrists supported, also some elbow support which really helps. Pointless seeing the GP as they just put it down to FM or osteoporosis. 😇
I'm not the poster! But following xray was referred to Orthopaedics Hand Specialist & Hand Therapist in Physio Department.
How is making sweeping generalisation about GPs helpful?
If you have Osteoporosis you should want to know about it (have scan ) .
I've not heard of allergies causing wrist pain - have you been tested for allergies ?
The pain could be caused by osteoarthritis. In some cases carpal tunnel syndrome. Could be another reason - that's why it's best to see a Specialist.
No one on here can diagnose - just share their experiences and offer support.
I understand that Osteoarthritis in the thumb is common in older women.
annab, I have terrible trouble with the wrists,,, especialy at the base of the thumb where it meets the wrist.
Hi,
I get wrist pain but I have been diagnosed with Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. When I had it diagnosed some years ago, I was given some wrist braces to wear at night when the pain was bad and it helps a bit.
I also have pain I have to wear braces during the days my wrists are quite weak also I have and office job so typing is hard 8 hours a day so I think this is the issue for me I had seen a specialist and had several ganglias which they used a needle to get rid of them but they keep coming back I would speak to your go about a scan just to see if anything else is going on
Is the typing making it worse?
Yes after an hour but by the time I get home they are very sore but I’m in so much pain after a day at the office I take my meds and try rest other wise would be in tears
I don't know how you stick it, but I admire the fact that you do.
Thank you but needs must I do not want to go thru the Universal credit unless I have to the stories sound awful and I went on turn2 is calculator and would be just under £500 a month worse off they even look for my partner to look for full time work when he looks after me and he goes to work when I do I just don’t understand what this government want from us
