Does anybody get really bad sweating at night? I woke up this morning and my hair was dripping wet. I'm only 20 and it feels like I've got the menopause.

Hiya, I get really hot in the night and often wake up sweating all over. I am 44 but dont think its the menopause as its only at night and i have no other symptoms. Its always worse on the nights my pain is bad so Im assuming its just another lovely symptom. x

i have the opposite ladies.. find it quiet scary that at 50 i get night shivers. i am all snuggled up and as comfy as i can be [har har like thats easy] and fully wrapped up and warm but suddenly i get a cold shiver that starts at the crown of my head and goes right down one side of my body. not always the same one either. at 50 i should expect the hot ones... but no sign of them.

Hi, yep i get night sweats sometimes they are so bad i wake up and get out of bed, if i pull back the quilt i can see an outline of where i was lay, my whole body feels damp and my hair is soaking.

I have actulally bought 9 new pillows over the past 2yrs as i have sweated so much the pillows have had to be thrown away, it seams to have calmed down over the past few months so lets hope it dosnt come back as bad as before, i am only 41. so you are not alone :)

Keep your chin up :)

i do believe dr sarah myhill is correct here. the nightly sweats are likely to be linked to the dysfunction of hormones, our bodies have become fatigued and over whelmed and many of its systems can be effected. everyone is different.

for me these lightly sweats were helped by buying 'Starflower' supplements, which were also recommended by my gp. this is much stronger than primrose oil. i used to get sweats from head and neck.. check out her site drmyhill.co.uk

Yes I get really bad night sweats. I wake up with the sheets and pillow cases soaking wet. Have been told to try sage tablets for this problem so I'm off to Holland and Barret this week. Will let you know if they work. x
