The sweating is all part and parcel of fibro. I’m exactly the same. Sometimes my pyjamas are soaked through. I think others on here have the same problem.

I also get really overheated when I’m stressed out or anxious. Work situations in particular seem to push me over the edge.

I find that keeping really well hydrated solves this a little bit - helps the body to regulate its temperature a bit better. Even if you need the ladies all the time :)

Hope that helps xx

Hi, I too suffered with night sweats, at first I didn’t know I’d got hot because I only woke when freezing and shivering and soaking wet pyjamas and sheets. Suffered for several weeks thinking I had a bug , then eventually went to docs and had a blood test for menopause & thyroid. Menopause was diagnosed and after several types of tablets finally, after about a year we found the one that suited me and stopped the night sweats. Just an idea as sometimes everything gets blame on fibro once diagnosed.

in reply toEsradral

Thanks Hun it is possible however I'm 32 so o think it could be early or something else I will call doc today xxxx

Unfortunately you are never too young to start the dreaded menopause, I was 47. But apparently the thyroid can cause havoc with you too, it’s worth a check, don’t let the doc fob you off with fibro. Take care.x

Thanks Hun I will speak to doctor xxxxx

Unfortunately it goes hand in hand fibromyalgia is the illness that keeps giving lol I sweat ridiculously and not just at night the slightest bit of activity or being stressed it’s embarrassing and for me it’s as bad as the pain and fatigue this is one of the main reasons I don’t go out socially anymore and I’m the same regarding my doctors it’s groups and forums like this where I have educated myself about fibromyalgia and the other symptoms that go with it x

in reply toEmk68

Thanks Hun yes I've been educating myself to felt like I was going crazy at first I can't think straight most of the time thank god for this forum or id be lost xxx

I've been suffering from sweating for a while now. Initially it was during the day, especially at work or on the train. If I have to walk fast at all I end up covered in a film of sweat. So embarrassing as it must be noticeable to others. Lately though I've been waking up with my pillow and sheets damps and my hair wet where it's been touching my neck. Wasn't sure if this was a fibro thing, side effects of meds or a "woman of a certain age thing". Doctor says it could be any of these reasons or a combination of them. Though I see from other posts that some men are suffering from this as well.

Hi it's really interesting because I'm only 32 I wake up drenched all bloods are normal however I've been takking zopiclone to sleep and I've noticed it's since I've been on those I only got 28 day course as insomnia is ridiculous my side will see if it's a side effect of the tablet or just fibromyalgia xx

I have been having the same thing too. Not just at night either. I'm covered in sweat, but shivering cold, like I'm sick and running a fever. It's just the craziest thing. I've been dealing with fibro for over 10 years and this just sprung up out of nowhere. It's not hot flashes. I know what those are. This is way different.

Your muscles require more hydration with fibromyalgia as they are tense when stressed you require more water who knew.
