I have a raised CRP it's 27 and has been so for the last 3 months, I can hardly move In absolute agony I thought I was having a flare but doctors seem to think not. I've been put on sevodyne 15 mg patches and told I need to get the pain under control, has anyone else had this. I just don't know what to do next.

CRP measures inflammation. Fibromyalgia is not an inflammatory condition which is one reason why it’s not able to be diagnosed by a blood test. Probably time for a discussion with your GP or rheumatologist to find out why the levels were as they are.

It’s very common for us to blame fibro for everything. I’m as guilty as the next person. Took me ages to visit GP for painful shoulder as I thought it was fibro - it wasn’t it was calcific tendinitis. Perhaps a referral to the pain clinic would be beneficial for you.

Thank you for replying I agree with you not everything is fibromyalgia but unfortunately my doctor just says you've got to expect these things it's your condition. I will have to try to see another doctor.

Good plan. If another Dr tells you it’s fibro say I thought fibro didn’t show inflammation markers on blood testing. Might make them think! Could be PMR be the reason? I’m no medic but my husband had PMR with widespread pain. Steroids are the go to treatment as the medics say if it doesn’t go or improve with the steroids it’s not PMR and they start to look elsewhere.

I will go back and question it if he says fibromyalgia as it doesn't show inflammation markers like you said, I didn't think of that at the time. Maybe PMR is the reason as I do have a lot of those symptoms. Once again thank you for your reply.
