Want put me on anything else . Until other meds work slightly . I no we can go on morphine patches but my specialist said no only short term . My legs give and knee does anyone else ? Went to see physio and said it's fibro no arthritis I hope . It's a joke !

Hello, it’s horrid too be in this position and good you saw specalist for answers, I do have arthritis in my knee and it does effect my walking too the point I limp , my knee does buckle for no reason and I’ve had too stop myself from going over. Dreading the cold weather as my fibro pain goes up a gear as does my knee, have you had any X-rays done at all ? You have my empathy and your right it’s no joke 🙁

Both my wife and I have fibromyalgia plus differing types of arthritis, If you have been given the normal medications frequently given and they were not effective perhaps ask for a referral to the pain clinic. We have both been to the pain clinic and attended the pain management program. We found the pain team far more sympathetic in prescribing medication to help with pain.

No one can diagnose online but my wife had exactly the same symptoms in her knee and both the GP and consultant put it down to fibromyalgia. However after a fall it was found that she had arthritis in her knee and required surgery. Sadly due to it being ignored for a number of years the damage was irreparable and so she now requires a total knee replacement. On examination by the consultant surgeon it was found that her other knee also requires surgery.

Have you had any scans or x-rays on your knees? Fibromyalgia is blamed for many symptoms but only after investigations are made to prove it is not anything else.

I’m really sorry to hear about your wife’s story…NHS is a let down at present

Your wife even could sue them for negligence and they keep letting people down through no fault of their own is some cases

It’s tough 😥 I have both arthritis and Fibro, osteoporosis, vertigo, brain injury you name it…those who make decisions on our behalf can’t be in our shoes even for a day

I have begged my GP for morphine but they decided I should do physio and as to physio I’m in waiting list, also waiting for 3 years to see a neurologist

I had these symptoms knee buckling and pain. Was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and Arthritis I use Walking frame and power chair now can’t trust my legs.

Hi I'm suffering same symptoms I'm on pregalin but it does nothing fibro is effecting my head blurry eyes really dissy like I'm gonna faint wobbly when I walk and legs and knees that feel like I got ton weights on yhem when I stand makes u feel real unwell does yours
