Naproxen

Naproxen felt like it was burning a hole in my stomach due to not being given the gastro liners. I stopped taking the naproxen for about 4 months, I'm now back on them with the liners, not had a problem since.I've also discovered the joys of magnesium oil on my most painful joints. I'm on a very long waiting list for cortisone injections in both thumbs, the oil is making the waiting bearable.

hello I take a lot of naproxen and was eventually given omeprazole for the stomach lining. Are you on this now?

Never tried magnesium oil for joints and pain, thanks for the tip x

Hi sweetie, I'm on Lansoprazole, same kind of thing, but it does the job. I Googled magnesium oil and it advised rubbing it into the soles of your feet at bed time. I take amitriptyline and kalms to help me sleep, I have found that the oil just rounds it off nicely 😴x

Are you also taking a Magnesium supplement? If found taking a combined Magnesium Glycinate , Citrate helps the joint pain. Restless legs and improves my sleep taken after my evening meal.

The Citrate has improved my digestion and IBS spasms .

I usually have a few spoons of natural live yoghurt and a quarter of a teaspoon of honey before taking antiinflammatories like Naproxen, or other medications that irritate the stomach. I've not had the stomach pain and irritation that I know a lot of people get by doing this. I do occasionally use a PPI but I've not had to take them like I used to.

Good luck with your journey. Bee
