Hi I've just had to accept I can't stretch, my mind knows I need and want to stretch but my body says, don't you dare it's not worth the additional pain it's causes. I've been like this for over 3 years...you get used to it.Take care.
Good morning, unfortunately the stiffness in the mornings never seems to go away. I feel like my body has shrunk within itself during the night and it is a slow and painful morning whilst it stretches out again. I have chronic migraine and hemicrania continua on one side of my head too so neurologist advised not to take any pain killers at all because it makes my head worse. So sorry you are in pain this morning, I know only too well how you feel xx
Yes, stiffness and therefore pain has been a daily companion for years so I feel for you. Did you have an x ray for the diagnosis?
My mobility is being hindered by something going on in the hip area, so walking and standing brings on pain in the hip/groin area down the thigh to the knee. For Fibro walking is a gentle but beneficial exercise and is a pleasure usually, so I’m hoping it can be treated.
I hope you can get treatment do that your hip problem can be resolved?
I think movement is key here, and especially limiting time spent sitting or being in one position too long. I find the stiffness does eventually reduce once I am up and about.
I know how you feel. Every morning its a struggle to get out of bed. Some morning I also get a tingling sensation through my whole body. I usually try deep breathing and slow stretches which does help. I also have osteoarthritis which adds to it. Brain fog first thing too. It all feels like wading through porridge!
You arent alone in struggling, no meds seem to help with morning fatigue and aches.
HI... yes, I wake up a stiff as a board in the morning. Have to do some shoulder rolls and neck turning...to try to loosen up and help the pain.. then wave my arms and legs about a bit ( it conjures up a lovely picture!) But bending has become difficult as I get stuck, my back aches terribly some days and I've noticed I'm walking with stoop now... whereas I used to walk head up, shoulders back, quite spritely. Things have changed, so much so, that people who haven't seen me for a while ask If I'm alright... I just tell them, I've hurt my back.
