understanding fibromyalgia

Probably the foremost researcher for the last couple of decades in fibro and well worth a listen even before I watch it If I have not watched this one before I have seen him do a couple of U of M presentations. Think this may be prior to Nociplastic pain definition.
Thanks for your endorsement Des, the knowledge from these studies are to me extraordinary, I find the information just mind boggling - why on earth the medics and specialists have not brought any of this information to my attention puzzles me.
I don't expect you to reply on that note as the evidence speaks for itself, I am currently receiving some valuable insights into my fibro label - that's just say PAIN - I had no idea about any of this until now.
I would say knowing why the reason or mechanics behind PAIN is helping me in folds, if not psychologically but slightly in pain too and I do now believe time will be my healer.
I will post for others the recent findings of Pain and Brain video by Howard Schubiner, I think it will be interesting for others.
Dan is one of the proponents of the CNS theory of fibro and helped get the new term of nociplastic pain that fibro is the prime example of. But within that new definition there is now the recognition that Pain is not just pain. It now includes the other attributes that we associate with fibro.
There has been a lot of work in the understanding of pain and we are still learning and will no doubt have some corrections as well to be made in future.
I am glad you are finding out more. Maybe have a look at Doctor Rachel Zoffness as well and her explanations of the Biopsychosocial model.
Very interesting thanks for the share
